My dad has stage 4 small cell lung cancer. Not to mention all the other things that have been detected. I don't know what to do/say/think etc on how to help. He's never been an open man. Right now he isn't eating or sleeping. I was wondering if anyone went through the phase where everything you eat just tastes like "poop". He uses other words but all he can eat or drink now is cranberry juice, ensure and yogurt. Even the smell of food being cooked near him makes him sick. Please give me some things to throw at him to help him eat something. Or maybe something I haven't thought of so he can taste it. Thank you. A concerned daughter that just wants to help.

So a couple days ago I took the driver's test for the 2nd time after a year and a half driving with a permit (I'm 24m) and driving just doesn't make fucking sense to me. Nearly t-boned someone who was driving normally during the test. Anytime I drive with my mom she freaks out because I drive like SpongeBob. It doesn't get better either, I took the test a year ago as well and if anything I got WORSE.
So yeah I want to be an independent adult so bad. I love my parents but I'm sick of living with them. I live in rural America where you see cows and shit everywhere yet somehow the internet raised me. I just want to know if there's any place I can move to where driving isn't fucking necessary because I'm a danger to myself and others during it. I fucking cried after that test man. I feel I'll never grow up, I'll be 50 and playing World of Warcraft in a basement somewhere or something.

I’m a hobbyist dad who likes to make videos of my kids’ events. My setup is an S5 (now S5iix when it delivers), Ninja V, and a cheap knockoff version of the VideoMicro that connects to the camera. My main two events are school drama club plays and cheer competitions. I was looking at a budget of $200-$300.
The mic works pretty good for the plays, and I probably wouldn’t consider upgrading if this was the majority of my time. But it’s only about 2-3 times a year.
The cheer competitions have a very short setup time since we stand to the side, then walk up in front of the stage about 30-60 seconds before the kids run out and perform. It is also extremely loud from the music of the performance, and the venues are usually small college arenas or convention spaces that do not have much sound treatment. Since I cannot control the environment, my plan was to upgrade the mic to best capture the “live” feeling or just get the best quality I could.
I was considering going with something like the Rode NTG and running it into the Ninja V. Seeing the recommendations on other mic posts for the Zoom H4N Pro has me thinking maybe I could use that somehow, but I’m concerned about getting it ready quickly and having it mobile while also handling the camera. I saw someone recommend an on camera option of a Zoom F1 recorder with the XYH-5 attachment, which would give me the flexibility to pick up the shotgun attachment for the plays or just leave it near the stage with the XYH-5.
Does anyone have experience with a similar situation or suggestion on the mic setup?

Been together 6 years, the last year has been tough since we moved states. She was increasingly controlling, shouting often, putting me down. It was bad for months then I ‘woke up’ and realised the extent of it, we nearly broke up but I agreed to give her another chance, things are largely better.
We have a new friend here. When we first met I felt like I’d always known her. We all get on well in a group but people have commented that we are ‘special friends’ and there is this deepness there that I can’t put into words. I have the same warm feelings towards her that I do for friends I’ve had since I was 4 years old. It’s a feeling of safety and trust, maybe.
My partner can be jealous when I meet friends 1:1 but has never been jealous of her. Today she off handedly said, “I think M loves you. Not in a romantic way but I think she feels a love for you”.
I’ve been avoiding this friend like the plague through my relationship difficulties.
Should I keep her at arms length as I have been doing? Or should I let this friend close and say yes to e.g. 1:1 invites?

I went to a small college and graduated in 2019 with a degree in finance and have been working at this investment advisory firm getting paid slightly above minimum wage in one of the most expensive cities in the world. Lately my supervisor asked me to keep track of all my tasks in a spreadsheet, which I doubt any other employee is doing. This makes me want to just quit and focus on applying to new jobs and improving my technical skills. Hi! I (16F) am wondering if I was overreacting when my parents showed me our future house. For context, I'm the youngest in a family of 5 with an older sister (18F) and brother (20M). Recently, my parents announced to me and my siblings that we would soon be moving to a new house this December. I was really excited by this as our current house that we lived in for 13 years is falling apart. They decided that we should visit the new house even though it was still under construction so we can get an idea of how our future home and bedrooms would look like. When we got there, my dad told me that my room was the one in the middle.
The room was decent and although the closet area that connects the bedroom and washroom was a bit small (I don't really know the measurements but the width is as wide as two average people (?) if that makes sense). The view of the window was a bit disappointing as trees were blocking it and there wasn't really much to look at.
When I checked my brother's and sister's room, since theirs were both on the corners facing each other. I noted that it was significantly larger than mine. Their washrooms were much bigger and their closet area was just as big, which is basically twice the size of mine. My sister's room was the biggest as my parents were considerate enough to have a little room for her to put her 4 guitars in, which in my opinion wasn't needed as her room was already so large. The views from their windows were also much better as it captured the neighborhood and sky, along with the pool.
I was really hurt to know this and when I tried to tell my siblings about it, my sister told me its too bad as my father was the one who assigned the rooms, and to not change it. When I asked my mom she told me that the rooms were all the same size. I tried to show her the difference in size but she told me that I was wrong and asked the engineer present to prove it to me that they were all the same size. However the engineer ended up telling her that the corner rooms (my siblings') was actually designed to be bigger and better. When my mom found out she simply told me it was too bad and that its too late since the structure of the house was decided already. I was really upset by this and I told her that I know I was her and my dad's least favourite child, but I was at least hoping that they wouldn't be so obvious with it. I ignored everyone on the way home.
I always got the feeling that my parents preferred my siblings more than me, especially my brother because he's a boy and the first child, while my sister is the older girl (I am Chinese), but I always thought I was just overreacting and I just brushed the feeling off, cause I know that since I'm a teenager now, I'm gonna be a lot more moody and emotional and I don't wanna do or say things that I'll regret once I calm down, but this time I feel like they really favour my siblings over me and it sucks. I know people might call me spoiled as some people don't even have their own closet area or pool, but I think I'm still allowed to feel this way and my point still stands that this is favouritism. What do you think ? Am I overreacting ?

Context: Hey! Super new Tuber here looking to get my channel jumpstarted with a couple shorts. I uploaded one around 1am today and it actually performed decently gaining around 55 views in the first hour. I uploaded another one at 2am and it got a whopping 0 views in the first hour. Something I took note of is with the first Short I had personally, as well as asked my friend to give it a like as soon as it went live. Could this explain the large discrepancy in initial views? Or is it purely luck.

I want to schedule my next short for 12pm EST but I'm uncertain if doing so will result in YouTube just completely ignoring it. (Again, very small creator, right now im just fishing for anyone who by insane chance comes across a short and likes it). Does scheduling the short not push it nearly as well? Should I always be liking my own shorts and having a friend like it too to make sure I get an initial push by the algorithm?

My gf (1 year relationship) moved in my small studio last year, due to the mutual benefits we had from living in the centre of our city. She previously lived with one of her friends in another city and had to do all of the traveling which was super inconvenient. Plus, we would spend much more time together.
Since she did, a subject of fighting I would have never suspected became constant drama. She's a night owl, and I'm a heavy sleepeearly bird, meaning I have to close my eyes for about 7h, and sleep about 6h30, preferably around 1am or so. I have to respond to a strict schedule, because where I live, medical exams are really difficult and learning require a heavy workload. For context, the average student studies around 10 hours per day, every day.
We've had some difficult times finding "us time" in that schedule, and I take the blame for being too anxious about not working and wanting to shorten some "us time" when exams are coming up, and also not having enough "quality time", meaning going out, going to see friends, playing outside... (keep in mind, we are broke students, so going out to eat is not something we can afford on a daily basis). What I did was that I divided work and private life as much as I could, meaning I changed up where I study from my appartement to the library (7:30am - 8:30pm), came home to do my assigned chores (30min or so), and finally spend time together (about 2 to 3 hours). But that tightly made schedule falls appart almost every two days : around 0:30am, I will be really exhausted, my eyes will start to close on they're own, and that's when she'll be asking for more time together, for every reasons she can find.
I started saying yes to bouts of 15 to 20 mins here and there, which led to bouts of 30 to 45 min, and last month, it was about 2 hours. Clearly I have a struggle with boundaries, and she uses various tools to get me to feel anxious about going to sleep : getting upset, arguing, not looking at me, not letting me talk, saying I don't care about her, crying, the silent treatment... so much so that I questioned the necessity of me putting hours so strictly in my schedule to get my things done. I compensated with lack of sleep for work (5hours, which leaves me with sleeping on the job, and not having any energy), or being late. I get up at that time because my mornings are where I work the best, and also now to have a good seat in my library.
About her now. She doesn't have the same curriculum as me, and she has a lighter schedule. She can mostly get up at every hour of the day, but she prefers to go to sleep around 5am to get up at lunch time, except for work days where it's going to be 2am, independently of the hour she needs to get up. She's also, and that plays a part in the sleeping thing I think, really emotionally attached to me, she doesn't see friends a lot, is pretty dependent on me to choose things for her, and is heavy on the fact that she wants us to go to sleep together. She's the most empathetic person I know, she would sacrifice everything she could for others, and we share dreams and values about family, love and relationships.
We have talked about this issue a lot during the past month, and can't find any agreement. She feels like we don't spend enough time together to satisfy her needs for attention, hence why she doesn't respect my hours. She also thinks that 5 hours of sleep won't kill me and my work.

So here's my question : should I accommodate to her and get up later, while sacrificing hours spent studying without her, and having to study at home, creating some friction because she wants to spend time with me when I can't, should I create strict boundaries about going to sleep at 1am, even if she literally will push me to make me talk to her, and throw a tantrum or invoke exceptional reasons (like a really big distress...), or is the problem lying in the fact that 10hours a day of work every day is simply not compatible with a couple's life.

TL;DR : My gf doesn't respect the hours I give her when I want to go to sleep, using every thing she can for me to feel anxious about it. Work-life balance is hard to find, hence why she wants every single minutes she can to talk to me.

I (M22) and my ex(f22) broke up our relation of 8 years in may of 2022 when she chose someone over me .
The break up was bad and I’d like to think she could have done some things better to end the relation . But maybe because it was our first break up we both handled this pretty badly . Bad words were said by both sides (more from her side once i called her out on her hypocrisy and self righteousness)
But nonetheless its also true she is still important to me mainly because she had been the only one in my life .
After break up i decided to leave this country , i wanted to start new life . I could not face my friends because i felt humiliated because of my pride and the emptiness in this city is eating me.
I have never contacted her after break up because she said so and also to give her space and to heal myself but she never left my mind .
So tomorrow is her bday and am leaving by the end of this month .
I am planning to wish her bday . In hope to let her know that i can always be a positive force in her life .but am afraid she might respond in negative way because she has a boyfriend .

I’ve been hospitalized recently, diagnosed with PMDD, and I recently did blood work that shows I have a 90% chance of having a pituitary tumor.
I’ve recently started seeing a new therapist who I really like. He had said in the beginning we’d start with weekly and then maybe eventually it could go down to less. I think it’s going well. I think therapy is helping. He has a structured program he’s going through that I like a lot. I think it’s helping. I told him about the very possible tumor in my Wednesday session.
But then he walked out with me to the receptionists desk (which he never does) and says “so we can come back in two weeks or 3 weeks, which do you prefer?” I wanted it to be next week, but I said two because I didn’t feel like I had the next week as an option. When he said it would be weekly for a while then we’d reduce I thought he meant it would be that way for months or even a year, not 4 sessions.
I was just put on the spot in front of the fucking receptionist (John) I started tearing up on the way to the payment window.
Then I went and sat at the bus stop where I wait for the dollar taxi to pass to go to the end of the island with the dock back to the island I live on. No one else was there so I just sat there and sobbed.
I didn’t understand why next week wasn’t presented as an option. Every therapist/psychiatrist/even fucking hairdresser I’ve ever talked to has said something along the lines of “I’m not available next week” or something like that when this.
So a this afternoon I panicked, left a shaky-voiced voicemail at the office, and received a callback from the John 10 minutes later saying he would put me on the books for next week same time (so NOT unavailable). He asked if I was okay and that I sounded upset (I was crying) and I said “I’m not okay but not in a dangerous way” and he said he’d have a word with Meservy (long-time psychiatrist who runs the small practice and was the person who diagnosed me with autism at 16) when he was out of an appointment about this. I didn’t receive a call back today but I’m not too concerned about that.
I think I’m going to call insight (private practice here) and ask if I could send them a list of all my issues and see if they have someone who can/is willing to take that on weekly. I can’t deal with decisions just being made about my care without discussion with me, especially when I told him immediately that I like excessive information, I like names for things, etc.
But seriously, I tell him I probably have a brain tumor and that means LESS therapy???
Today I also had a knock down drag out fight with my mom that’s such a blur but I know ended with her saying “I hope you have a fucking brain tumor because, if you don’t, I can’t love someone like this anymore.
I just feel so broken, I want to check myself into the hospital again but that was almost worse. I need someone to take care of me.

I posted about a potential M/M Benedict storyline (pure FUN speculation on a fan's part) and I was stunned by the level of homophobia on this subthread. And yes, I'm quite comfortable calling it that so if you feel inclined to play devil's advocate, please refrain or offer some actual constructive thoughts. I've been a part of many other subthreads and that's why the level of homophobia here was shocking to me. I am going to be very clear about this because it's not about 'disagreement' or difference of opinions. It's about how homophobia, bigotry and a lot of unconscious biases come through in subtle ways, and in the response to Benedict being potentially gay as an idea, the backlash and also the specific commentary felt quite homophobic. In many ways whether unconscious, deliberate, in denial...whatever it was but it was disconcerting for me, as a straight cis woman, to see the level of animosity directed at even the idea of a M/M romance. All the reasoning for it felt based on "it doesn't fit the regency era to have a gay romance" [what show are we watching...they literally play taylor swift songs and feature interracial relationships which were ILLEGAL until the1970s in the US!!! who knows in the UK i am not a part of that island, but also not even to mention the fact that Black people were not part of the aristocracy they were very much slaves and part of the translantic slave trade so...].
Beyond all this, I wish this subreddit and the passionate fans here could celebrate even the idea of one of the main siblings having a same-sex relationship. Why aren't fans here advocating for that? When everything else that's historically inaccurate has been shown on the on-screen relationships? Do we think an Indian woman and a wealthy, titled white man of the ton (kanthony) would realistically have ever even been allowed to DANCE, let alone be near each other??
And by being 'ok' with the idea of a same-sex relationship - No, that doesn't mean deferring to a 'well lets just do a Brimsely spin-off' or 'lets have another spin-off with gay relationships'. It means truly, and genuinely being okay with continuing with this modern adaptation and RE-TELLING of Julia Quinn's stories to reflect a modern relationship via Shonda Rhimes. Julia Quinn wrote those novels literallyy eons ago when everything under the sun and moon in tv, books, and film was white and the re-imagining we've seen on screen bears no 'literal' resemblance to the novels. Sure, the names and skeleton of the stories and relationships are there, but the reimagining is truly original, and for a reason. Shonda Rhimes has taken the books and given them a 21st century facelift, so I truly do not understand how so many people are adamant that there will be no same-sex storyline. We've already seen interracial relationships in an era where that was quite literally ILLEGAL, mind you the fact that Black women and men were not royal, to say the veryyyy least.
If the idea of a same-sex relationship in this fantasy fictional world truly rubs you the wrong way in some manner, I really really want you to think why and reconsider any biases. And if your response is, well it's not true to the book or the time, then, I want to ask - how much of what we've seen on screen translated is rigidly true to the original books and time. and the answer, imo, is it's quite flexible in Shonda Land. If a Black girl can change race relations in one generation in this fictional fantasy world, then a Bi-Gay boy can change gay relations in one generation as well. If anything, it makes for QUITE the storyline.

TL;DR -- Would I be burning all future bridges with a company if I asked to drop out of a interview process after they bought me a ticket to fly out for an onsite interview? The interview would be a week from now
I was in the interview loop for a certain role where half way through the process that role got closed, but fortunately the company directed me towards a similar role, although on a different team and different location. The recruiter asked if I was still interested in chatting with the hiring manager and I said yes, and did.
The team is a little less aligned with my interests and what I think I could offer, but they cleared me and asked me to come do an onsite and were trying to do it as soon as possible so I didn't have much time to really weigh things out.
I honestly feel really unmotivated, because it's not only just flying out to meet everyone but I have to prepare a presentation, which given my nature I'll easily spend a lot of time on. I'm having second thoughts about this second team, other location and lack of benefits the company offers. Would I be burning all future bridges with this company if I was to politely bail on the process at this point? The alternative is to half heartedly drag myself through ~10-15 hours of prep for this presentation and just do it knowing there's a very small chance I'd take the job if offered at this point.

I am hoping and grateful for someone to help me with some suggestions regarding heating and cooling my 427 sq.ft 2 car garage in a very cold climate (-30c in central Canada in winter). I am looking to use my attached garage as a year round woodworking shop, it is currently uninsulated, and I am deciding between closed cell spray foam and r14 mineral wool insulation, as that is the highest r-value I can get for acoustic insulation on 3.5" studs.
2 of the walls are attached to the house, so I am trying to decide if I should not use spray foam on those walls, as they are not very good for soundproofing, which is an important aspect for me as I will be using loud tools (table saws, dust collectors, etc).
One of the walls extends passed the house about 50% of the way (technically only 1.5 of the 4 walls are attached to the house), so my current strategy is spray foaming the half of the wall that is exposed to the exterior, and using rockwool or fibreglass on the attached section of wall, as it is connected to the house and they provide better sound dampening qualities. I am unsure if that will prevent any additional noise vs just sprayfoaming, and using heavy soundproof gypsum with resilient channels will do most of the heavy lifting. I did see a chart that r13 fibreglass @ 3" will provide 52 STC rating vs 36 STC for closed cell sprayfoam, and the additional R value will not be needed on the interior garage walls attached to my house (this is the hypothesis).
The next topic I am needing help for, and hopeful some kind soul will be able to help is to figure out soundproofing. My current strategy is to ignore soundproofing the exterior facing walls for now, as the cost is very high for soundproof/higher STC drywall ($90 per 8ft sheet in my area), and only focus on using the better sound dampening drywall on the interior walls. I will use resilient channels throughout the entire garage, and use 2 layers of drywall throughout the garage, which will hopefully do a good job at keeping the noise inside the garage. I am unsure if I need to use the same heavy drywall for my ceiling, as there is already drywall installed (there is a bedroom above the garage).
The final question I have is regarding heating. I do have a gas line currently, but it does not reach the garage, so a new line would have to be installed probably if I go with the gas option. In my area, electricity is around 9c/kwH so I am thinking this might be the best option, as I see some -30c capable minisplit systems will be enough for the 400sq/ft garage if it is insulated well (r20 exterior, r14 attached walls to house, insulated garage doors, windows, and entrance, r50 in the attack space). My concerns with heating are that a minisplit may not do a good job at distributing the heat, and there may be some cold areas in the garage. We are looking to heat it to around10c at all times in the winter.
I really, really appreciate anyone looking at this post and able to offer advice. Our target budget for at least insulation/drywall is ~$5,000, so we are looking to optimize that budget between heating/soundproofing.

I’m located in California and was renting a room in a family home. On May 31st (the last day of my lease) at around 9:40 pm, I arrived at the house with my boyfriend and his brother to retrieve the last of my boxes/items. The family is often still awake at that time and I did not think it would be an issue, but when we got there my landlord said it was too late. I said that I had to get my things, and she started to yell and demand that we leave - she even threatened to “defend her home” if we didn’t go. She had not stipulated which guests I could have when I moved in, but she was especially irate about my bf’s brother. He’s 19, quiet, and wouldn’t hurt a fly, but he is a tall, big young man. He and my bf grabbed as much as they could and then got off her property. I finished getting my things and moved them outside while she and her husband blocked the doorway. They would not permit me to check that I had not left anything. Unfortunately, my boyfriend realized that in the stress of it all he had left my suitcase packed with clothes, my journal, family heirlooms, and fine jewelry that would cost at least $1300 to replace, on the porch. I did not see it when I was moving my things as I was only focused on getting out as quickly as possible. Her porch is not very visible from the street and she lives in a relatively nice area.
The next day I politely texted her and asked if she had my suitcase to which she responded that anything I left last night was abandoned and in the trash. She didn’t mention the suitcase but said she had thrown out my food. She also said that she had cameras everywhere (I was not aware of any) and I asked if I could see the footage of the porch but she refused. I told the police that my belongings were left on her property and after speaking with her the officer said that we would choose a time convenient for both of us and do a walkthrough of the house with an officer. Nevertheless, when I tried to set up a time with her she said she could only do today at a specific time and refused to pick another date. Despite how important this is to me, I had an appointment at that time which was even more important. Is it illegal for her to refuse to be flexible, and what should I do if it is? Does the other information incriminate her as well, or are my rights in these areas less clear because I’m a lodger? I have no interest in doing her any harm but I am a struggling college student with no money.

Moving through a slog of near constant rejection, am I over blowing this?
Alright, this may be long, proceed at your own risk.
I’m at a pretty sticky and uncomfortable point with my partner of nearly 9 years. I’m going to try to provide as much context as possible, because while this situation is ultimately relatively uneventful, it’s quite rife with emotional mise-en-scene.
My partner and I are queer, I’m trans and she is a cis woman. I am 34 and she’s 33. We had lived together the entire time we’ve known each other, as we met as roommates, and decided to start living apart about 2 years ago. We were moving away from the town we were living in, and she decided to move to the city, while I decided to travel around a bit instead. Unfortunately my vehicle I had planned on living in broke down about 6 months into my travels, so I moved to the same city as her. We had decided that living apart would be a good exercise for us to work on our codependency, especially before potentially venturing into having children together.
Another relevant piece of our history is that we have always maintained a relationship style I would describe as “open” until this point, which she never really acted on and I rarely did. She had a boundary of me dating/sleeping with women, so primarily extra relationship activities were me sleeping with a cis gay men (this happened about once every 2 years lol). I also have some sexual baggage, and my sex drive plummeted early in our relationship. We would have sex maybe once every two months, and I think when this first happened she experienced this as a great deal of rejection. I was quite disconnected from what was happening in my mind so couldn’t really explain why, but I felt really bad about it. Usually we would end up having sex after a long hard conversation about how hurtful my lack of sex drive was. I was also very uncomfortable with physical affection at this time, and was very withdrawn and unaffectionate. I know this made her feel terrible, and I am sad that my behaviour made her feel this way. We processed it a lot at the time, and since.
Just before we moved away from our town and to separate spaces, she began a flirtatious relationship with a mutual friend of ours. She doesn’t often express attraction to many people, and I could tell she really liked this friend. There hadn’t really been a situation before that we had encountered that had the potential to generate real big romantic feelings outside of our relationship (I don’t tend to have romantic feelings for men) and this activated a very strong fear of abandonment response in me. I freaked out a bit, felt really scared and worried about the stability of our relationship, and discussed this with her, but did not ask her to end the flirtatious/dating relationship. I wanted to move through the jealousy and fear, as I could tell these were more located in me than anywhere else.
That relationship did not pan out, but her attraction for me/desire to have sex with me effectively disappeared at this point. She’s explained that she feels bad about it, and that it was a drop in her sex drive in general related to a depression, which I can obviously understand, but as of late she is expressing desire for other people/wanting to actively pursue sexual relationships with other people, but still feels no attraction for me. This feels really sad and hard for me, and I’m trying to accept and hold out hope that this can change in the future (as she says she thinks it will) but hearing her be excited about and express desire for other people feels really hard.
It’s been 2 years now since we’ve had sexual intimacy, and while we find other ways to be close, I feel like I’m sort of on an endless endurance run of accepting rejection. It doesn’t help that her withdrawal has activated a very anxious and clinging response in me, which I’ve metered A LOT since my first freak out, but is definitely still there. I want to state too that I have not made any requests for her to not pursue these desires of hers, just that it feels painful for me. I also do experience excitement for her, and feel glad that she’s feeling good enough to think of herself as a sexual being again.
I don’t want to be feeling this way, but I simply am for now. It feels like the only thing that makes it tolerable is being able to share with her that I’m finding it challenging and have her hear that, but it definitely also feels like my being emotional about the situation is contributing to my not-sexiness in her eyes. This confirms a deep belief I have about myself, that my emotions that are ‘bad’ or ‘hard’ make me unlovable and undesirable.
She has expressed to me that she is committed to me, and wants to have a family together, and that she believes she will feel desire for me again but beyond that vague sense is not clear. I do understand not knowing how or when desire will return, but it’s still feeling like a major slog.
I’m at the point where I’m wondering if I should shift my thinking to just enjoying the platonic nature of our relationship and forgoing the possibility of sexual intimacy, but I fear if I do that at one point she may come around and then we begin the rejection/resentment cycle once again. It has also occurred to me recently that she may be unconsciously retaliating against me for the pain I put her through in my disconnected era.
Sex is not a highly vital part of a relationship for me, but I’m learning that no sex at all does really hurt my feelings. I know what it’s like to not feel consistent desire for a partner, and still love and cherish the person, but I never actively desired other people during the times I was more disconnected.
What do we think here? I don’t want to give up but I also don’t want to end up years down the line realizing she will never feel that way for me again, and become resentful for this painful experience. I love her a lot, and have/would endure a lot for this relationship that’s important to me.
I also want to add, obsessing over this has turned me into a joyless SOB and I hate that!!! I used to be fun and I want to be again, but I also want to not just repress my feelings which is my go to.
TDLR; I was distant and disconnected for a long period of my relationship, and now my partner doesn’t want to have sex with me. Should I keep waiting it out and if so, any tips?
