So the inside of every building is missing its floors and walls. It's just a black void with the clutter, furniture, people etc still there. I followed a LO guide so my current LO looks like this:

Welcome to my first big post here. Today I'll explain you everything you want to know about Pristine/Non Decayed weapons, what they are, where to find them and how to optimize your search of them.

What are they?

Non-decayed weapons (or pristine weapons, or Intact weapons as the game tips and tricks states) are what you could call the "true" version of some of the Hyrule weapons, such as Royal, Traveler's Weapons that are for the most part of them rusted/decayed. The distinctions between a non-decayed weapon and its decayed version are :

• Non-decayed weapons have a "clean" Icon on the inventory; the one that's used in BotW
• Non-decayed weapons have a greater attack stat than their decayed counterpart
• Non-decayed weapons also have a greater durability stat than their decayed counterpart
• You can't find non-decayed weapons in Sky Islands or Hyrule Surface, except for some Amiibo drops
• They have a different Compendium entry (useful if you want to use your sensor with them)

They wield the same effect if there is one, however. For example, a non-decayed Gerudo weapon will still have the same effect than its decayed counterpart (*2 on the fused material used on it, but only +5 durability from fuse instead of the normal +25 for most of the other weapons).

Where to find them?

In this part we will ignore Amiibo drops.
Non-decayed weapons are found in the Depths, most notably wielded by shadow statues/soldiers on the stone mounds. Before I throw all the maps to you, I'll explain quickly how they work. When you're far from a statue you didn't approach yet, you will see no weapon in its hands. If you approach them enough, their weapon will "load". This weapon will be taken randomly between what Non-decayed weapons can spawn in the region, if and only if you already broke the Decayed version of it once or more (except for the default weapon, Travelers'). After that, even if you go further until it unloads and come back it will always be the same weapon (once the weapon is "activated" it will stay until you pick it up). The only way for a non-decayed weapon to respawn is to pick the weapon and to wait a Blood Moon. If you don't take the weapon, it will stay after the Blood Moon.

How to optimise your search

It will take some time. But here is how I do usually :

• Go to an area with a lot of statues that can spawn the weapon
• Make sure I have already broken a decayed version of the weapon
• Collect all the weapons, even if they are trash, so that they can respawn after a blood moon
• Leave the area, wait a blood moon, and save after the blood moon
• Eventually, if you purchased the weapon pictures, put the sensor on your researched weapon
• Go to where I took all the non-decayed trash weapons, check if the desired weapon is here, and if it's not, reload the save I made after the blood moon

Warning : The following maps only show the shadow statues that CAN SPAWN the non-decayed weapons you want. It is randomly taken between all the weapons it can spawn. Moreover, except for traveler's weapons, I want to remind you that a non-decayed weapon can only spawn if you already broke its decayed counterpart at least once. Now that this is cleared up, let me put all the maps for you.

Explaining in detail

If you're here, prepare yourself to get some technical info on this data. To get all these maps, I mainly used four things : a game file containing area data for all 107 areas in the Depths, notably the non-decayed weapons that can spawn ; all map files for the Depths, notably the coordinates of each of the statues ; another game file that basically has 80 000 000 entire coordinates from (-5000, -4000) to (5000, 4000) and that links every single one of them to an area, so basically defining the areas, and Python + my Python knowledge.
The first thing I did was a partial Python script that would take in entry a weapon actor name, and that would exit a list of all the areas where this non-decayed weapon could appear in the hands of the statues. Then, I created the other part of my script, that would go through a list of all the coordinates of each of the 679 shadow statues, and check if they were tied to one of the areas the desired weapon could spawn. If it was the case, it would take the coordinates to another list. Finally, I just printed all the correct coordinates on a blank map, and fused it to an area frontier map I did earlier. There's this map of BotW's out of bounds area, and I was wondering if anything has been changed in TotK. I've been able to spot some differences from the sky islands and this video, but it some areas might just be culled out, so idk if anything's actually different (BotW & TotK do have a lot of out of bounds mountains to the north & west).
If anyone knows how to get any screenshots that show Hyrule from really high up or something then that would be fantastic. Thanks.

tl;dr — my wife is impossible to collaborate with about goals, growth. Has no personal goals and blames me for her “not having enough time” to work on herself. Depressed but not working to change anything.

I resent my wife—deeply. I’ve tried repeatedly to help create a collaborative and growth oriented life together—but she’s genuinely one of those people who just “think things will work out”.
She does not try to change hard enough, in my opinion. And her lack of progress and commitment is pushing me so far away that I’m sitting here on Reddit at 2AM with a burner account.
She has become unreliable and, frankly, just isn’t someone I’m happy to be around anymore.
Tonight was a huge blow — I shared 3 YouTube videos that helped elucidate why I’m so fixated on having a road map together and also discuss healthy relationships and toxic/good love. I chose those three because a) one showed how important having a relational purpose is, b) one spoke about needs and wants and where they should come from (inside and from your own truth) and c) how to give good love and not toxic love.
She watched but seemed uninterested in discussing them afterwards. I was already bracing for this before we even started as she tends to shut down when the going gets tough these days.
I should have communicated better about why I was showing these videos — but when I accidentally started a fourth video she said “I don’t want to watch another. I want to goto sleep”— and it boiled my blood.
I just shared 3 videos that literally meant a lot to me — and you don’t even want to engage about them? Ask me why those three?
It turned into a big argument — but this happens all the time. It usually ends up in some semblance of her saying “I can’t do anything because I don’t have time and I don’t have time because you do not contribute enough”. Even when I do “create” time for her—I don’t think she uses the time wisely.
Mind you were busy AF — and I do a TON of tasks for our family (she does too).
She says she’s depressed and barely hanging on—but maybe goes to therapy once a month.
I’m just tired of being married to someone who doesn’t want to work on themself for the sake of themself.
She hates her job… she said she wanted to be an interior designer—and went back to school for it—spending a lot of money—and has done basically zero to cultivate a career or job she likes.
I’ve tried motivating her in so many ways — but honestly — I don’t really want to have to motivate her.
I’m kind of done — I’d hate to leave her in this state — but as someone who has also dealt with depression, it isn’t just going to “go away”.
Argh.. it’s just so terrible. We have a 16 month old daughter and I really don’t want to break up our family.. but I also don’t really want to be around someone who isn’t growing.
We’ve done couples therapy—but it wasn’t the therapist’s speciality… I believe having a purpose as individuals and a couple is imperative to a healthy relationship—but without her involvement or even interest in searching for it or working to find it—I’m failing to see a way forward.
I’m at a point where I need to see results and actual change.
Am I just being a dick? Am I just selfish? Anyone else been in a situation like this and ended up being able to be part of the solution and not the problem?
I’m struggling because I don’t want to force her to change — but there’s no way the path she’s on now is optimal for her.

Map ability in the ability scroll wheel is useless, but a cool use for it could be making it switch between the sky, surface and the depths in your mini map when you press it, could be useful for exploring the depths, so if anyone wants to mod this could be a great QOL feature.

One of the classic themes of battleboarding and fiction is technology vs magic. There's something really cool about the idea of modern technology going up against superpowers and magic, or even just superpowers being used in war. Izetta: The Last Witch is basically about a single magic user in an alternate World War Two. The Wonder Woman movie sees a superhero on the battlefield of WW1. Dr. Manhattan wins the Vietnam War. Captain America punched Hitler. Wakanda's military is built on super-technology.
Some people like to imagine what effect fantasy creatures, races, or monsters would have on warfare.
I myself had a post on here about how one of my favorite tropes is seeing how a superhero, villain, or monster stacks up to police or military forces, since it gives us a solid idea of their power relative to real life weapons.
However, I think modern audiences and creators have lost sight of how truly powerful and downright horrifying a modern military is. All the advanced weapons are just the start.
Thought Experiment:
I want you to imagine a monster that has these capabilities:

• It is completely invulnerable to ordinary gunfire. Bullets simply bounce off, and only special materials or weapons can pierce it.
• Can move as fast as a racehorse, but for hours straight instead of minutes. Relative to humans, it's faster than the greatest Olympic sprinters who have ever lived, and capable of traveling hundreds of miles without rest.
• The strength of 275 horses.
• It's the size of a small room, and weighs in at more than 26,000 pounds. A fully grown African Elephant looks at this thing and says "I'm not going to fight something outside my weight class."
• This thing can swim too. It's amphibious.
• It has a ranged attack that can completely incapacitate or kill a human in just one shot. Anyone who by some chance survives is left seriously injured.
• It is capable of unleashing around 10 of these attacks every single second, with an effective range of around half a mile. It has enough power to launch thousands of these attacks without becoming fully exhausted, though sometimes short rests may be needed.
• It is an intelligent creature with multiple brains, each of which is a human-level intelligence specialized to operate different parts of its body. Whereas normal humans have to move and fight with a single brain, there is a "driver" brain and a "gunner" brain.
• Such creatures rarely operate alone. In fact, more than mere animals, they arrange themselves into complex hierarchies, with the largest including hundreds or even thousands of such beasts all coordinating amongst each other.
• These creatures have a symbiotic relationship with an entire ecosystem of other monsters: they have large living spaces inside for smaller creatures, each of which themselves is a human-level intelligence capable of killing humans up to 500 meters away with a single hit. Larger creatures can include massive winged abominations capable of leveling entire city blocks in a single pass.
• Communicates with other members of its kind through some electric telepathy.

The punchline to this setup is obviously that what I'm describing is not a "monster" but a real life military vehicle, but where I'm going to surprise you is in what it is. What I've asked you to imagine is not an attack helicopter, not a fighter jet, not even a tank. What I've just described to you is the M113, a basic armored personnel carrier with a single machinegun and squad inside.
Sure, there's always some fancy engineering in military vehicles, but yeah, for our purposes the M113 is basically a metal with treads and an engine on it.
This transport vehicle, not necessarily meant for direct combat, sounds like some kind of party-killing D&D monster when you lay out its actual capabilities. Now let me tell you that an "Armored Personnel Carrier" with just a single machinegun is actually fairly basic.
If we want to look at "Infantry Fighting Vehicles", which are meant to transport infantry, support them, and work alongside tanks, we might additionally have:

• Superhuman senses including binocular, night vision, and thermal vision (i.e. advanced optics)
• Homing projectiles that can burn through a couple feet of solid steel (i.e. anti-tank missiles).
• A machinegun that literally shoots grenades (not even an exaggeration: "automatic grenade launchers" have been around for decades).
• A machinegun that is actually a small cannon (literally, an autocannon).
• Sometimes, an actual legit cannon just for good measure.

A modern, mechanized military again, can have thousands of such vehicles. Oh, and a lot of actual tanks, airplanes, and artillery too. Finally, you have some actual human soldiers fighting alongside all these mechanical monsters.
But these monsters aren't the scary part. The real terror of a modern military isn't the tanks, planes, or artillery, but its ability to sense and coordinate.
Who is more scary as a villain: a mob boss who can punch through a brick wall, or a mob boss who always knows where you are? What is more scary to face as an opponent in combat: a wizard who takes a few minutes to charge up some big fireball attack, or a wizard who can simply divine where you are and teleport a small grenade right in front of your face?
It's the ability to find targets, not just destroy them, that makes all the difference. I've been reading a book called 7 Seconds to Die, which is an analysis of the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War in 2020. The basic thesis of the book is that while overshadowed by the pandemic, the war is a glimpse into the future, given how Azerbaijan's military was able to inflict a crushing defeat on Armenia with an array of new technologies that reads less like a war and more like a horror movie.
The name of the title comes from a soldier remarking that when they heard loitering munitions overhead, they had only 7 seconds until it hit. A loitering munition, by the way, is basically a hybrid drone/bomb that can fly around for hours looking for targets, then dive onto them and explode. LMs are already intelligent and well-programmed enough to identify and choose their own targets, with human operators being able to step in as necessary. Did you even know that was a thing?
A big theme of 7 Seconds to Die is that the modern battlefield is "transparent". There is nowhere to run and it is almost impossible to fully hide. The "kill chain", the process of a military detecting something, deciding to hit it, and being able to hit it, is easier and faster than before. If you make a noise, emit heat, send out an electromagnetic signal, etc, you will be found, you will be targeted, you will die.
The ranges and accuracy of drones, artillery, and missiles is such that your only real defense is not being detected or seen, and that's only getting harder. Tanks are still relevant, but heavy armor is less meaningful when missiles and drones can attack the top armor which is thinner. Traditional camouflage and cover is becoming less meaningful when the amount of "sensors" on the battlefield, whether thermal, acoustic, electromagnetic, etc. is not only increasing, but sensors are becoming shooters. The drone that detects you doesn't just send a video feed back to headquarters. It sends a missile to you.
No longer will you have to wait whole minutes after being spotted for artillery to rain down on your position, as a human Forward Observer has to manhandle some radio and talk to another human, going through a whole procedure to call in your exact coordinates. Instead, you're just minding your own business when you hear a drone overhead, a drone that can not only spot you with its cameras and sensors, but has the artificial intelligence to select its own target (you) and instantly attack. 7 seconds to die.
If the speed and "transparency" of modern battlefields is scary, so is their size. On a Napoleonic battlefield, you might have to contend yourself with cannons that can shoot only around a mile away, and inaccurately at that. Now, you have "deep strikes" with "precision fires" as missiles and rockets can accurately strike over a hundred miles away. There is no "safe" rear area anymore. Anyone and everyone in-theatre is within range of a modern military. The only question is when will they find you, and how.
Thought Experiment #2: Imagine a military unit as a single entity, rather than just normal people with equipment:
One of the most foundational principles of military thought in basically any era is "combined arms", using different kinds of forces to your advantage. Armies aren't just a bunch of people with weapons, but people fighting together in ways that complement each other. Infantry anvil to the cavalry's hammer, tanks working in open terrain with their long-range guns and infantry crawling around in dense terrain where enemies are harder to find.
As a thought experiment, it can help to approach a military unit as though it were some kind of dispersed hive mind creature. A brigade isn't just 1,000 people with vehicles and equipment. It is a superhumanly fast, durable, and powerful monster that has superhuman intelligence (i.e. HQ unit with a professionally trained command staff) and different organs dedicated to dealing with different threats (i.e. all the different sub-units and weapon types).
If an artillery observer spots you and calls in a fire mission, that's not a "normal human" talking on the radio so another normal human can fire a cannon, but an "eye" of the creature spotting you and allowing one of its tendrils to strike from miles away.
Alternately, if that's a bit too abstract, you can attribute the capabilities of all the soldiers and vehicles in a unit to their commander. A battalion commander who can order his artillery batteries to level a city-block is, effectively, a City Block level character. A squad leader who can command their heavy weapons team to demolish a building with a rocket launder is, effectively, a Building level character.
Thought Experiment #3: Military Capabilities as Superpowers:
So much modern technology, military technology included, is basically the functional equivalent of magic. What, in all honesty, is the practical difference between some magic eyewear that allows you to see in the dark, and regular night-vision goggles?
Superhuman senses are already a mundane reality of modern militaries. Take your pick of binocular, thermal, night vision, etc. There's even some really fun stuff, like systems that can tell you where a sniper is hiding by analyzing the acoustics of the gunshot, or "counter-battery radar" which detects shells and missiles in mid-flight and can trace back the origins of their firing units.
Wouldn't it be cool if we had a superhero who could fly, superhumanly durable, with a ranged attack capable of hitting targets miles away? That's not a superhero. That's just an attack helicopter with long-range missiles.
What if we create mirror images of ourselves to confuse the enemy or make ourselves invisible? Electronic warfare involves a lot of this; decoys, false radar and signal returns, "masking" one's own signatures.
Do you want something superhumanly strong? Look at heavy lift helicopters that can lift tens of thousands of pounds.
Do you want fire to rain down from the sky and just kill everything on the map? That's where cluster munitions and long-range rocket systems like HIMARS or MRLS come in.
Do you want the enemy to stop raining down fire from the sky on you? Well, there's Counter-Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar systems, which are basically CIWS (Close-In Weapons Systems) put on land. They fire so accurately and fast they can literally just shoot individual artillery shells to pieces before they hit the ground.
Do you wish there was some kind of magic spell or energy you could use to scan an area? That's just radar.
Do you want a weapon that helps you fight with it, a weapon that talks and gives advice on what to do? Autopilots and cockpit voiceovers have been a thing in airplanes for decades.
Do you want projectiles that magically home in on the enemy? Take your favorite guidance system. Would you like a weapon that remembers what a target looks like? That's television guidance? Tracks heat signatures? Thermal. You can have missiles and bombs that home in on enemy signals like radio, radar, or jamming signals. Do you want missiles that know where they are because they know where they're not? The "missile knows where it is" meme is basically just describing an inertial-guidance system i.e. if you're in a car, you can feel acceleration and turns. Machines can be designed to "feel" that too as a way to tell how fast they are, what direction they're headed, and thus where they are.
Do you want to "counterspell" the enemy's telepathy? Okay, that's just jamming their radio signals and data links.
A wizard can summon more ammo until they run out of mana, or your radio operator can call in resupply until their headset runs out of battery.
Are you sick of the enemy jamming all your stuff? There are weapons that home in on enemy jamming signals.
Conclusion:
On one hand, I'll admit it's very interesting to realize "Wait a minute, tanks and helicopters are basically superhuman monsters from an infantryman's perspective."
Yet, on the other, I feel that the real strength of a truly modern military isn't in its ability to spew forth bullets or drop bombs on stuff. That stuff is something ordinary people comprehend: big booms and spraying ammo everywhere is something we've all seen in movies and games.
Instead, the real strength of a military is the ability to find and accurately target the enemy in the first place, combined with the communication and coordination to get all that firepower on target. If you've ever heard of the "survivability onion", it's basically the idea that there are "layers" of protection, the first of which is "Don't be seen." If you're seen, don't get hit. If you're hit, don't get penetrated. If you're penetrated, don't get killed.
People focus a lot on the weapons and explosions, what penetrates armor and kills the target. Others focus on "precision weapons" or "guided bombs", and admire how easy it is to hit something. However, the most precise weapon is still useless if it doesn't know where to aim; the real strength of a military is knowing as much about the enemy as possible so that it can maneuver it's forces and complete it's "kill chains" faster.
The terror and power of a modern military isn't just the firepower, but the certainty. On a "transparent battlefield" it's not just the big guns, but the fact that the big guns know where you are.

It was a surprise, to say the least, when Basti tackled me down to the ground. The cubs were fine, though Grimm seemed surprised by the whole exchange; but in the end, he was just happy to be involved in whatever was happening. The people were taken aback but appeared to be more confused and perhaps even amused at the scene developing before them. Basti's tail had flicked this way, and that, her whole body seemingly rumbling with delight as I felt her unintentionally flexing her claws into my back.
Zasutir spoke up first, looking pleasantly amused as he looked between Basti and me before looking back at me. "I suppose there are others you left out regarding your latest change." He mused before looking at the others. "Come along now, everyone. No point in standing around; we have work to do." This earned some smirks of amusement from some of the adults, though the kids were just happy to see Basti stopping by. The cubs and Grimm lounged around for a few moments, but they also dispersed, going off to play with the other kids or hang around their mentors.
"So... I guess you're cozy where you are?" I asked as I glanced back up at Basti; while my new wooden body was definitely strong, I was not in any sort of position to properly resist or squirm free, not that I was actively trying to do so.
She rumbled out another purr before leaning in and whispering once more. "Consider it as punishment for not telling me you were planning on getting a physical body..." She mused almost mischievously as she now began to knead her paws into my back; while it felt nice in a way, the sensation of relief wasn't really there, considering I wasn't really made of meat like a normal person. Though as her paws kneaded against me, I could sense that she had a realization as she let out a huff that sounded vaguely disappointed. "You're made of wood?" She asked quietly, confusion plain in her voice as she let herself flop down against me and rested her chin atop my head. "Why are you wood?"
"Well, probably because this was all rather impromptu." I replied with vague amusement. "Reyvyre surprised me with this avatar; as she put it, a real body is probably a long way away, but for now, this will have to do if I want to be mobile." I just laid there for the time being, the pressure of her weight being quite apparent to me. However, it wasn't uncomfortable, the sensation of pain apparently not registering. "However, considering that I can now leave my bubble... I was considering joining you on your mission to the Hegemony. I'll follow from afar and see what I can do while you assume the role of Dhalia." I mentioned, a smile on my face as I slowly shifted around to look up at her more directly.
Basti's eyes dilated with anticipation at that suggestion, humming some more as she stood and slinked off of me before lying in the dirt. "I... I really like that idea." She mentioned as her ears flicked and wiggled.
Now that I'm freed from the confines of my right hand, I go about standing while dusting myself off. "It'll be interesting to see the world beyond the confines of my forest. I have memories of the place, but I'd like to see it for myself, maybe make some connections and find some friends." If I were flesh and blood, I could swear my heart would be racing with the idea of an expedition. It had been years since I'd ventured into new territory. Even the warehouse that got me killed had been mapped, though obviously it wasn't adequately scouted, but that was beside the point now.
Basti hummed thoughtfully at that before nodding. "There are many targets, as you know; it'll take a lot of work to deal with all of them." She mentioned, her tail lashing and curling as she considered the task before us.
I couldn't help but agree; I've dismantled many groups before. It usually just requires the removal of leaders or key figures in a group to create disorder and leave hostile groups in shambles. However, the difference here is that this is a civilized land, with a lot more people and stable influence and structure. Nothing like the volatile apocalypse I had grown accustomed to. So Basti was right, it would take a lot of time, at least until I find a suitable figurehead or faction to oppose these slavers for me, hence the need for me to go and try to find friends and allies. "It'll be a good way to gauge our neighbors and the people who make up the general populace."
Basti seemed to nod intently, and I could tell that she was at least getting most of the concepts I'm running by her, probably thanks to Dhalia's memories. "Again, it sounds like a lot of work... What about home? The mountain and the haven? Are you going to just leave them be?" She asked as her head tilted curiously.
I considered that, soon glancing over at the faint, intangible thread that connected this body to my core at the top of the mountain. "I think I can manage to maintain both, though I'm certain I can rely on Oururu to look out over the homefront for the day-to-day if need be." I consider as I looked back over at her. "I may be inhabiting this body, but it's still only an avatar; my true body is still my core at the top of the mountain. I'm fairly certain I can change my focus between this body and my bubble of influence." I explained, guessing for now since I didn't want to experiment out in the open on the off chance that returning back to my core would make my Avatar collapse like a sack of potatoes.
This appeased Basti as she nodded intently. "I see; I suppose I ought to get back to my training if we are to leave as soon as possible." She considered, seemingly a little somber, as she watched our cubs among the people before looking to our mountain. "I don't think I've ever truly had a place to call home. My memories of life weren't exactly clear... All I knew was that I was alone, and my hunts were poor in the last few weeks with my cubs on the way." She said softly. I knew of her life before me, though it was interesting to hear it from her perspective. As she spoke, I decided to sit down beside her; my legs crossed as I scooted closer before reaching out and gently running my wooden fingers through her head fur. Basti seemed to smile softly before shifting around as she laid her head on my lap before continuing to speak. "I went up that mountain to die that day; something in my basic, animalistic mind didn't want my cubs to be eaten after I had passed... I would have preferred they starved rather than end up as someone else's meal." She admitted as she nuzzled into my stomach. "But then there you were, a small little bead in the dirt, and you aided Basmori for no reason other than you felt like it. I knew somehow that I could at least leave them in your care, and you would have watched over them as I entered my final sleep." She then rolled over onto her side before looking up at me while still resting her head in my lap and leaning into my touch, a smile forming on her feline face. "But there you went again, not allowing me to even have that rest. You had my life, and you gave it back freely, even at cost to yourself. Time and time again, you provided for and protected our cubs, more than any mate ever would have." She said, her voice rumbling with evident affection. "I suppose now that I've had time to understand my new awareness, I can see that my affections have been rather one-sided." She considered as her tail curled and her ears flicked; she sounded more somber, but not too much as she gazed up into my eyes. "I hope you'll continue to care for and look after us, even if my affections are unrequited." She said softly now, almost murmuring as she huffed softly and proceeded to pull away.
Even if Basti had been just above average in intelligence for an animal until a few days ago, she was surprisingly mature and wise now. I highly doubted all that was simply due to the influence of Dhalia's memories, so that means she had been wise and mature all on her own. I didn't let her get too far as I came up beside her and patted her upper back; this caused her to stop as she looked back up at me, settling down as she watched me intently while her mind swirled with emotions, though she maintained a stoic expression. "Basti, let me just say that I do care for you as my trusted friend, partner, and ally." I started off as I took a knee to be closer to eye level with her, even if she did have to look down at me now. "However, I recognize your feelings for me, and I will not ignore them; all I ask is that you give us time. I want you to get to know me as a person, and I would like the chance to get to know you as you are now, a person like myself." I explain as I offer a small smile. "Is that alright with you?" I asked gently as I held her gaze.
Basti hummed thoughtfully, returning the smile as she leaned in and pressed her forehead against mine before quickly trotting away. She soon stopped a little ways away and glanced back at me as she spoke up. "I suppose it'll have to do for now." She replied coyly, one of her ears fluttering with delight as she hurried off.
I couldn't help but smile as I watched her go; I could sense that she was in a much better mood than a moment ago. Getting to my feet, I make my way over to the part of the clearing where the tents had been set up; all but two of them had been taken down at this point, everything else having been loaded onto various drakes. Drakewardens and imperial ladies move around, working to clean up after themselves as it were. I, of course, felt many eyes on me, though nobody actively approached me at first, that was until Tobias made his way over with a grin on his face. "So, Vitmori in the flesh, I didn't think I would be seeing anything like this anytime soon." He mentioned as he came up beside me and watched his subordinates work on packing up. "You certainly cut a rather striking figure; seeing you now, I have no doubts you are certainly a capable warrior."
I couldn't help but flash a grin as I looked over at Tobias; I could tell he wasn't paying me any sort of lip service and was sincere with his words. "Well, not exactly in the flesh, and while I appreciate the vote of confidence, my combat experience is limited to a type of monster called a zombie, as well as a variety of mutant variants of zombie and normal human beings. I have no doubts I'll need to reevaluate the skills and techniques in my repertoire for mana-enhanced warriors and magic users, not to mention all the strange and unique beasts and monsters I may have to encounter."
Tobias looked curious about my initial comment, so I opted to just hold out my hand to him. He takes it up after a moment as his brow quirks with mild surprise, almost immediately bringing his other hand over to feel up the rest of my arm. "Wood? How interesting..." He mentioned while trailing off as he tried to examine my features with his eyes alone while pulling away. "Well, you certainly look like flesh and blood; this is some incredible spellcraft for sure." He mused kindly as he met my gaze once more.
I couldn't help but chuckle softly at his reaction as I nodded intently. "Well, I have Reyvyre to thank for my current condition; she exhausted a considerable amount of mana to craft this avatar for me." I said, letting my arm fall to my side.
Tobias nodded intently before smiling a little more as he looked out at his subordinates again. "As for your combat experience, I'm sure you will have little issue adapting to new enemies. You are already a considerably powerful being, after all." He then shot me a glance and smirked a bit. "Don't forget that you are also a mana-enhanced warrior, as well as a magic user of a kind, just train yourself in your new capabilities, and you should be able to carry yourself just fine among the rest of us." He expressed, sounding rather sincere as he patted my shoulder.
It felt oddly comforting being advised by an even older and more experienced man than myself. I'm reminded of that saying to beware the old man in a profession where others die young. I suppose it applies to both of us, but Tobias does seem to have at least a decade on me. "I'll keep that in mind." I reply with a bit of a smile as I look over at him again. "When do you think you'll be back?"
Tobias looked at the skyline for a moment before looking over at me once more. "Two, maybe three weeks. I still need to inform the Commander of the Southern Order of my findings here, but considering the circumstances and our current lack of a place to call home, I'm certain they'll have no qualms about making the journey here." He explained as he looked over his arm and absently fastened some of the straps to his bracers. "We will also need time to commission and escort some builders to come out here to start working on a wooden fort and living arrangements which will need to be completed before winter starts in full. So all in all, lots to do." He mused with a mock sigh of exhaustion and a shrug before flashing a smirk. "Thankfully, I can leave most of the more difficult work to the young ones, so there's that."
I couldn't help but return the smirk with a chuckle of amusement. "Yes, I suppose that's the perk of having both age and experience." I mused before spotting Historietta making her way over. I glanced back at Tobias and held out my hand again. "Stay safe on your way out; I'll see you soon."
Tobias glanced over at Historietta before nodding as he firmly took up my hand and shook it before lowering his head in a show of respect. "Thank you again for welcoming us on your land; I'm looking forward to our next meeting." He expressed sincerely before pulling away and joining the other drakewardens in a final check of their equipment.
Historietta approached as she smiled up at me. "Well, I suppose this is goodbye for now." She said as she bumped her fist against my chest. "Take care of yourself, old man; I can't wait for you to visit the Capital. Hopefully, I'll have some stuff for you to use by then." She gushed with a mischievous look. "I can't wait for another talk; maybe we'll have some more interesting stories next time we meet." She mentioned with a clap of her hands.
I offered a chuckle as I decided to return the gesture by gently bumping her shoulder with my fist. "Be careful what you wish for; there's a reason 'May you live in interesting times.' was often used as a curse." I mused. "But yeah, I'm looking forward to it too, cya then." I offer as I take a step back.
She also took a couple of steps back, turning to leave before stopping and casting a glance back at me. "Don't forget; you now have a friend in a high place; if you need anything, anything at all, please don't hesitate to call on me. I'll do what I can." She insisted, sounding rather serious now before offering a small smile again.
I couldn't help but grin a bit before bobbing my head in understanding. "Sure, the same to you, after all. If you need something done and don't know who to turn to, just let me know, and I'll be there." Historietta grinned at that, apparently genuinely happy by my offer as she turned to join the drakewardens and her ladies-in-waiting. The group now mounted the drakes before quickly taking to the skies and heading for the horizon.
I watch them for a while more, though soon enough, I'm back in the moment as I rub the back of my wooden head before looking around. What to do first? Honestly, now that I'm really thinking about it... I'm just itching for a fight. It isn't long until I spot my target and make my approach with a grin on my face as I tap his side. The massive bullkin getting startled by my apparently silent approach as he looked over at me from his seated position, chewing audibly as he crunched down on a hard vegetable of some kind. "Vitmori? How may I serve you?" He asked with measured deference while maintaining eye contact.
I could feel my imaginary heart pound in anticipation of what would come next as I flashed a grin that was as charming as I could manage. "Hey Reonim, mind sparring with me?"

Platform(s): Nokia Phone, I specifically recall playing this on the Nokia 7610. Can't recall if it's Java based.
Genre: First person shooter, Doom-like
Estimated year of release: 2000-2013
Graphics/art style: 3D? Dark atmosphere. Like Unreal but primitive. Iirc there's no roof, you can see the sky most of the time. The walls are orange-brownish, map design is somewhat maze like, linear progression with some alternate paths I think. Textures somewhat smooth, I don't remember any repeating/brick-like/pixely textures that make it look like Doom. Enemy polygons seem decent for the time, 3D if i'm not mistaken.
Notable characters: Robots/Aliens enemies. I'm not sure what the enemies are, they seem like aliens but sound metallic when killed. Some have red eyes. I don't recall limbs.Most of them hummed iirc. There was one enemy that looked like a metal ball with legs that floated at head height and one tall enemy that looked like wore a long robe. Enemies move in a simplistic scripted patrol path.
Notable gameplay mechanics: For a FPS you only get horizontal aim, you pick up ammos and guns around the map or after you killed an enemy. Iirc there's no minimap, you open the map with a keypress. There should be fog of war, the map only loads places you been through.
Other details: I remember being able to use a pistol then a shotgun in the early levels, I never finished the game cuz it was so scary for me as a kid. :(

For memorial day weekend, my friends and I decided to head out to San Diego's Gaslamp district for a night out. For those unaware, Gaslamp is basically the go-to place to go bar hopping. Nearly every establishment on the streets serve alcohol of some kind. To kick the night off, we decided to pregame a little and down a couple shots of vodka. Nothing too crazy, just enough for a slight buzz.
Even though I lived in SD for 4 years during college, I never went to the Gaslamp district--so I was pretty excited for tonight. Once we all got there, our game plan for the night was to order cocktails instead of beers--that way we could drink more and visit more bars without getting full from beers. Following our plan, my friends and I were able to sight see a good chunk of the area (really pretty btw, check it out if you have the chance) and got progressively more and more tipsy over the night. About 2 hours into the night, our friend (let's call him Greg) and DD for the night, suggested we visit a tea bar to take a quick break. Since Greg doesn't drink alcohol, we decided to go to the tea bar and get something for him. I'm not sure how Greg didn't notice on Google maps, but this "tea bar" was actually a hookah bar. Although I and our other friend (Tom) quit vaping nicotine for several months now, it's a special occasion so we decided to get a pipe for the 2 of us. Of course, not consuming nicotine for a while will reset your tolerance. After a hitting the pipe for about 30 minutes, I started getting a headache from all the head rushes. We got drinks from 2 more bars afterwards, but the hookah was hitting a lot harder than I was expecting. My headache was turning into a mini-migraine. At this point, we decided to call it a night and head home.
Just as we were heading back to the parking lot, some random girl comes running up to me and taps me on the shoulder. She says to me, "My friend thinks you're pretty cute. Can I get your number for her?"
My fellow guys, this is a dream scenario for us. You hear the stories about other dudes being extremely oblivious and missing every sign and you think to yourself "no way I'd ever be that dumb". Well yes, I--in fact--can be that dumb.
The girl then followed up and asked if was taken or already had a girlfriend. Between being really drunk, having a massive headache, and just wanting to get home ASAP, I don't have a GF so I just replied "No, sorry" and I walked away to rejoin my friends. I don't remember what happened between walking away from that girl and getting home, but I knocked right out once I got to my bed.
After waking up sober the next morning, it sank in to me that I missed a shot here.
TLDR: I got so dazed and confused from drinking and smoking, that I misunderstood what someone was asking me and I missed a shot at giving my number to a girl.

At the +4 reset Triple Trouble tonight a bunch of awesome people banded together on NA to take on Triple Trouble Wurm as we were in the overflow map at ten minutes to and the queue for the main map was very long.
All 3 of us who commanded had either never led or barely led a Triple Trouble before but got very close to succeeding at the event but there was some miscommunication and confusion when it came time to Decap.
The Wurmicidal Maniacs [WHAM] Guild came in like the calvary with a repop to start the event over after main map was finished and filled in for any commanders who needed to be relieved or mentored those who were willing to try again.
We succeeded the second TT and new people got to learn how it all actually works behind the scenes and how to lead each fight.
It is moments like these that make me love this game's community. Just people helping people. Fun, giant, open world events where people come together and overcome an obstacle and win the fight together with the help of their fellow commanders.
