Hi fam just looking for some tips+frankly, reassurance. I have my 1st olympic distance tri of the year (second one ever) in 1.5 days and I am getting SO nervous for the swim. It's been a SUPER cold spring and I haven't had the opportunity to practice OW swimming. I had no issues last year just some nerves but the lake is way colder than it was last year (15c currently). I do have a nice thick wetsuit. Idk just getting worried about the cold watefirst OW being the day of the race...Any tips at all? I do have great swimming endurance. Been doing 2.5kms in the pool consistently with zero fatigue/very low HR. Please don't tell me I'm fucked I know it's not ideal :(

I finally feel a bit more myself, but I spent a lot of my time rewriting 40 Daysfrom Harry's perspective. I've got the next chapter of Matched, Falling Twice and Remedy too coming Sunday - finally I know but even though I wrote them I kept deleting and rewriting because I wasn't managing to get the story where I wanted it to go.

I looked forward and saw it there, a glowing white doe patronus, frozen with its hoof in the air like someone had cast an immobulus. I tried to stop again, but my foot dragged forward. Fuck. I didn’t want to follow this fucking doe! I needed to—

The clearing spread out before me; the trees melting away with a lake in the middle. I could feel her sliding inside me, rearranging me. After all, I had done for Hermione, she fucking —

I stepped up to the small pond in a rage, glaring down into the water.
I did see it in the dark depths under the ice. Memories that Hermione had hidden from me. I saw myself with my fist clenched in her curly hair, moving her head down on me while she knelt at my feet. The image under the water changed, and I was standing before her with body parts around me, as a splash of blood hit her face, her eyes wide with horror as she stared at me.
The images continued to change, playing out scenes I had no memory of yet their stain echoed in my soul. It wasn’t me, though. They weren’t true. I would never—
One memory paused and the memory Hermione turned in the dark depths of the water and looked up at me standing on top of the ice, her lips shaping the words.
You break the ice.
Fighting myself, I pulled out her wand from my pocket, pointing it at the memory Hermione through the ice. “Expulso.” The spell shot out, slamming into the ice and cracking it, setting her free.
Hermione rose from the water like a ghost, her hair wet but still curling down her body to her waist. In her right hand, she held the sword of Gryffindor, the gold and gems gleaming even in the dark forest Hermione had trapped me in with her magic.
“I did it for you, you chose me, and — and — I chose you,” I told her nonsensically as she approached me. My thoughts were fractured, a part of me understood what was happening, what she had done to me. That part of me wanted to rage at Hermione. She still didn’t understand how hard it had all been to keep her safe. Keep her safe from me.
But the knowledge was hard to hold on to, it slipped away into the depths of the rippling water behind Hermione.
Her skin was so pale that it seemed to glow, and her dark brown eyes were black with intent. “You found the sword in the pond and almost drowned.”
Her words echoed inside me, bringing up the memory of when I had dove for the sword after–
No. This was–this was–
“Stop fucking lying to me!” I screamed at Hermione as she approached. I could feel a tether between us, my magic was latched onto her like chains. I yanked savagely at her, and she stumbled as she came within a foot of me.
“Tell me something true,” I demanded with a viciousness that seemed foreign, and she stepped closer, her hand raising the sword.
I saw the motion but didn’t stop her, believing until the moment I felt the sword slice into me that Hermione wouldn’t hurt me. Hermione shoved the sword of Gryffindor through me, skewering me and I fell to my knees. It didn’t feel like a sword inside me. It felt like a fiery torch burning my insides and I struggled to breathe.
Hermione leaned close to me as I died, her voice whisper soft.
You are the knife I twist inside myself.

Does anyone have an approximate idea what the monthly price is for a hotel in the city or surrounding cities (excluding south central)? I have tried to ask for the monthly rate multiple times at some properties, but they tell me that I will need to go in person to talk to sales with an appointment, or others say they don't offer such a rate. I was looking for a rate on par with apartments, but with no long term lease. I tried corporate housing short term rentals, but those are too expensive.

So my wife and I were looking at a house for sale. It is a nice house in a desirable neighborhood. Good floor plan and layout. Problem is it has some significant structural issues. The seller says no problem we got an estimate and will give you an allowance for the repairs (seller can’t make the repairs because the house is in trust). My concern is the allowance is rather significant when compared to the asking price of the home (like 1/5th the asking price). Does this seem possible because to my uneducated mind this seems like kind of a stretch for a mortgage.

As opposed to, say, just Amount divided by Duration. Or why not Sum of (Amount divided by Duration)? <--Think I tried the latter and got syntax error. It doesn't feel intuitive to me, like how I would write a formula in Excel. How can I better understand this so it's easier to write formulas? I use it primarily for school and some light gaming - Civ 5, Age of Empire 3, Caesar 4. It has plenty of room on in memory wise, but I’ve noticed the fan sounding like it’s about to take off when using it. At first it only happened when I played Civ 5, now it does it when I’m typing on a new word document with nothing else open. Now, whenever I play Civ 5, the screen turns a blue tint - not blue screen of death but the picture turns a blue tint as in the people in the game look like Smurfs. And Caesar 4’s colour flickers.
I’ve removed all the start up programs, cleared catches, did all the updates, run software checks with no virus/malware/etc., physically cleaned it with compressed air. The monitor is only a year old and has no issues (plugged my Xbox into it and my brother tried it on his desk top). Which leads me to believe it’s the desktop itself.
I called 3 computer shops earlier this week. One can look at it in 2-3 weeks but said it’s probably just too old. One said it’s junk and not worth it. The other hasn’t returned my call yet.
It’s been a long while since I’ve boughten a computer and I’m not very tech savvy. I was on newegg and saw this computer on sale. Is it worth the price? Will it last longer then the one I have has?

Inspiration & Designs
Our vision for the Sisyphus 65 was to create a visually appealing keyboard that draws inspiration from the absurdist tale of Sisyphus, a well-known ancient Greek myth. Our aim was to achieve a sophisticated design that is easily recognizable due to its uniqueness. To pay homage to the dystopian hero, we have incorporated contoured lines on the keyboard that depict the hill and the boulder.
The PVD stainless steel column represents the weight of the boulder, while the straight lines on the main part of the case top represent the hill. Moreover, we have included the Morse code "C L I M B" on the top of the keyboard, a word that is used repeatedly in the Sisyphus story. Additionally, we have used dichroic anodizing on the front of the keyboard and the metal badge to add to its charm and character.
Overall, we are confident that the Sisyphus 65 will capture your imagination and leave you enchanted with its exquisite design and attention to detail.

Inspiration & Designs
Our vision for the Sisyphus 65 was to create a visually appealing keyboard that draws inspiration from the absurdist tale of Sisyphus, a well-known ancient Greek myth. Our aim was to achieve a sophisticated design that is easily recognizable due to its uniqueness. To pay homage to the dystopian hero, we have incorporated contoured lines on the keyboard that depict the hill and the boulder.
The PVD stainless steel column represents the weight of the boulder, while the straight lines on the main part of the case top represent the hill. Moreover, we have included the Morse code "C L I M B" on the top of the keyboard, a word that is used repeatedly in the Sisyphus story. Additionally, we have used dichroic anodizing on the front of the keyboard and the metal badge to add to its charm and character.
Overall, we are confident that the Sisyphus 65 will capture your imagination and leave you enchanted with its exquisite design and attention to detail.
SE Premium Version
Just as Sisyphus was condemned to endlessly push a boulder up a hill, designers must continue to refine and improve their creations, never truly reaching a final destination. The SE version of our keyboard embodies this eternal pursuit of excellence. What is the difference between the SE version and the standard version? The chamfers around the keyboard case of the SE version are processed into gold or silver via Dual-color Anodized process, which is more noble and elegant, and visually improved.
