Yesterday was my last real day working before week long PTO at the beach. I have 52 of the most pristine greens waiting for me, so I decided to get a quick 9 in to make sure I was playing to form.
I go to my local muni as I know I can typically get in 9 in under an hour if I’m by myself.
I doubled the par 5 first hole and then hit the green on the par 3 in front of 4 dudes. Three of them asked me what club I used and the forth just couldn’t form words. I used a 7 iron 121 to the green from the whites. No big deal.
Well this older gentleman asks if we can pair up, and of course I say yea. Great guy. Better golfer. Turns out he’s a First Tee Coach. You know the kind that misses the shot and says to himself “Come on, Coach what are you doing?” Could not have had a better randomly forced pairing. Anyway we just start chatting about the game he’s giving me some tips on the course, etc.
After a few holes I have this 12 foot putt to save par. After I get a confident strike on the ball it goes right into the hole. Boom electric. Coach tells me “man that’s one hot putter. Gotta get me one of those!”
Now I’m getting fired up for my golf trip but I have one problem.
My girlfriend won’t be coming with me and my family to the beach. Unfortunately she’s not dumping me - the hospital she works at was worried for her health to be around something as electric and unbridled as me full tilt on 14 after I’ve had 6 tequila infusions trying to save triple bogey, and she needs to help people with brain injuries or something.
I feel like I should get a new putter in solidarity to my brother in arms but as we are still together and my new First Tee Coach loves it, I think I should keep it.

These are also known as wow-moments. - Are you helping with time, money, stress, or something else? - Are these impacts noticeable or measurable and shown in the product? - Does your product deliver what the marketing and sales promised?
2. Can users use it independently without needing support at every step? - Demos and onboarding are fine, but if a user is going to use your product regularly, they must be able to navigate on their own. - Are features discoverable? Are UIs intuitive? - Have you built the product from a customer POV or your own POV? - Have you used your product and checked it?

Of course, there are many other pointers. (Will be covering them in detail in my newsletter, marketedit.)
But usually when these two things happen - Your users start talking about your product in their network - They recommend your product to peers and communities.
And the above two are the basic mechanisms of virality. Even if you have a few hundred customers, this word-of-mouth can be one of the biggest source of compounding growth. And you can get this without spending a single dollar.
Brands like Figma, Canva, Whimsical, Workflowy, and others have got this flywheel working for them. And it has helped them uncover a great channel for compunding growth.

There was a sale going on and i grabbed the simple water boost hydrating range since it's supposed to be for dry skin and tret is making me flake again. HOWEVER after i bought the products i looked up the ingredients on incidecoder to find that all of it contains lactic acid. I'm sure it's in a smaller percentage however i don't know if it'll be okay to use with tret. Any ideas on this? Also another product i got (i know, i should seriously start looking up the ingredients FIRST but oh well) has tea tree extract in it, is that compatible with tret? Otherwise I'll need to buy another moisturizer 😭

Hey golf Got fitted yesterday and need your help. I’ve played Mizuno Grad MP irons forever and after being away from the game, I am getting back into golf. I figured it’s time for new irons. Hit a bunch of 7i shots on the trackman and narrowed it down to HMP and the t200. Swing speed with 7i is about about 85mph, mid handicap player for context…
Hot Metal Pros felt better. Got more distance, but also have stronger lofts. They were very forgiving. My fitter noted that spin rates were around the 5k range. Distance was around 167 on average. Hit a ton of shots with them and liked them.
Titleist T200 was not a club I had previously considered. My fitter asked me to try it. My shot dispersion was tighter. Spin rates were 7k. Distance about 158 on average. They felt good enough for sure, but not as good as Mizuno. The sample size was smaller. Maybe ten balls.
Here’s the question: my fitter put something of a premium on the spin rate data and shot dispersion (which I get). My swing was not perfect yesterday, so dispersion variance is surely on me. How important is that spin rate differential (5k — 7k) given the lofts are 2-3 degrees different, and how much value should I put on shot dispersion variance with an imperfect swing?
I’m also aware that the HMP are about $300 cheaper for the set… and money matters as upgrade old equipment.

This is for entirely hobby reasons, but I'll talk about it using a 52 card deck so I can explain it better
I'm drawing a hand of nine cards, what is the chance that I draw 3+ clubs, 2+ spades and 2+ hearts in that hand? What's the formula that works this out?
I've found stuff on hypergeometric distribution, but have so far only found things that explain how to calculate for a single suite. Wolfram Alpha gives me an answer for one or two suits, but crashes at three and also doesn't explain how its getting the answer.

I've got extensive documentation proving that I was lied to, harassed, had my pay messed with by management with zero justification for years (i was base plus commission and saved all of my previous sales reports/records; they shorted me over $1k in a single month, at one point), and was eventually pushed out of my job for reporting my supervisor for harassing me and requesting a quiet place to work as an accommodation under the ADA (I provided a print-out describing the rights that workers with PTSD have as well as full documentation and my doctor's info). Multiple coworkers backed me up when I reported the supervisor; it was really bad.
Unfortunately, as they had put me on "unpaid permanent leave" and left me in the dark for weeks with no updates while they "had an outside consultant investigate," I was really struggling with my mental health and my finances, so I agreed to sign an NDA in exchange for a one-time $6,000 payment (well, more like ~$3,500, after taxes).
The NDA document is pretty sketchy and seems to basically be telling me that while I can report this to the EEOC under federal law, I cannot use the words "harassment," "discrimination," and/or "retaliation," even though that was precisely what I dealt with. It also says that I can't hire a lawyer plus a bunch of other random demands that I never would've agreed to if I had been in a healthy state of mind and had not been so desperate for money for rent.
What do I do, at this point? Can I get sued for showing the EEOC people the NDA that they made me sign, as it confirms that they did me dirty and want me to lie? I'm in North Carolina, for context, and it's a local, family owned business (I'm not sure exactly how many employees, but 30+ at least). It's an "old boys club" atmosphere, and I was treated very differently than the men working there were; it was "okay" for one manager to scream obscenities at me (and upper management) with zero consequences, yet I got thrown under the bus simply for requesting a quiet place to work so that I felt safe and could focus.

I bought these less than a year ago from the previous owner. These are the original version. It seems that all the tips have not been used. There are also a cleaning tool and the tool for replacing the faceplates. The gold faceplates are currently installed, and they cannot escape the fate of developing the crack under the screws. The blue and red faceplates appear to be in perfect shape. The hard carrying case and two factory cables are included. The box is in good condition as well. They are very comfortable and the sound is great.

These are excellent sounding headphones. They are clean and in great condition. I believe all factory accessories are included, such as two pairs of ear pads, two stock cables, and the hard case. Also included is a nice aftermarket cable terminated in 3.5mm plug with a 6.5mm adapter. They didn’t come with the original box.

Hi, I’m a rising senior who is still feeling pretty confused about this whole process despite browsing this subreddit for hours and having a college counselor. I want to go the a liberal arts college with great academics, but I don’t want to be stressed to the point of a mental health crisis while I’m there. I am kind of hoping to use this post as a sort of check-in to see where I am.
Stats:
SAT: 1590 (unsuperscored if that matters)
GPA: 4.2 but my school weights gpa weird.
Rigor: 11 honors, 2 aps (plus 3 more and Multivariable Calculus next year); All As except for two A-
Common App Essay:
Not great. I consider myself a pretty good writer, as least grammar and style-wise, but this essay puzzles me. I’ve written countless drafts, feel like I’ve explored all topics, and have come up with nothing good. I’m not great at bragging or talking about super personal stuff and that’s basically what this whole process is about. Plus it feels like I’m expected to sum up my whole life/worth in 650 words which is kind of stressful. If anyone has any advice please share, because I’m at a loss.
Major: Undecided. I’m not sure what I want to study in college because I like a lot of stuff tangentially. The only thing I know that I’m really passionate about is the environment.
Extracurriculars:
Online internship since January creating instagram posts about environmental issues/facts
Book Club since 9th grade, now lead it with my friend
Environmental Club since 10th grade, raised hundreds of dollars for local bay through fundraising
Gardening is probably my main activity outside of school. I’ve been expanding my garden every year since at least 2019, and really enjoy trying new varieties of plants and experimenting
Cooking/Baking since basically my whole life. Don’t do as much now with school and everything
School Committee: we basically hear infractions against my school’s code (cheating, lying, and the like), vote on a punishment, and make a recommendation to the school’s principal. You have to be recommended by a teacher to join the committee.
Journaling for over a year now, wouldn’t put down since I consider it personal, but I like writing and this is the only thing that shows that so…
