Why is it that in addition to needing to either rely on a lucky drop or a long tedious quest line, I need to also farm kills to finally equip an exotic weapon catalyst. This just seems excessive to me. If we somehow earn the exotic catalyst just let us equip it.
Random drops on raid weapons kind of sucks guys. I don’t want to craft every single weapon to chase perks. It makes me not want to raid feeling like i’ll come out of it with a bunch of legendary shards. Bring back fixed roll drops in the raid.
Okay so let’s talk about weapon crafting. So I not only have to get the weapon, I have to make sure to get a special version of that weapon 5 times (unless it’s a seasonal weapon, good luck you’re gonna need it). Even still, I can accept that. But now you’re going to tell me that I am forced to use my shitty level 1 gun and spend rare materials just to add the perks I did all this for in the first place. I’ll take buying the perks, but why am I forced to use the gun so damn much to level it?
Terminal overload is dumb. Unless you have a terminal overload key, it’s pointless. Right now the only consistent means of getting a terminal overload key is to continuously spam new world instances for a chance at getting one through a golden patrol. Then you get a weapon, but it’s unlikely to be a red border. Why can’t TO keys drop at the same rate as defiant keys? The defiant weapons are way more reasonable to obtain.
Tldr; 1.Random roll raid weapons should not be random 2. Having to farm catalysts after they drop is boring and unnecessary. 3. The weapon crafting grind needs to be less extreme. 4. Terminal overload is pointless, make keys regular and frequent drops.

Reddit user fbc1984 brings up a scene in S2 where Kate is holding a bolt of red fabric whilst Edwina is trying on outfits, speculating that Kate liked Red and would have worn it for special occasions, such as her wedding. I believe the scene being referred to is from episode 5. Edwina is being fitted for her wedding dress in the modiste's shop and is talking about the wedding and living in London, near the end of the scene we see a wide shot showing Kate sitting and holding a bolt of Red and Gold fabric.
Another Reddit user in the post, (I would like to provide credit, however I will not because at this stage I do not have permission to name them), commented that they had read where in India it is traditional for brides to wear Red, and white is a mourning colour. This got me thinking, with all of the symbolism in Bridgerton, were the bolt of fabric Kate was holding, and Kate in white during Anthony's daydream at the wedding, not to mention Edwina (as an Indian woman) wearing white symbolic?
We know that the costume designer used a combination of colour and fabric for Kate to symbolise her emotional shifts towards falling in love, so if we stay with the idea of colour symbolism in the clothing then I think the wedding was very symbolic of both the emotions of the parties involved, and pointing to who the true bride was.
As both Kate and Edwina grew up in India, I don't believe either would have worn white to get married in (though Edwina was a possibility with an English mother), due to white being a colour that would be associated with funerals in India, so I would like to think it was deliberate for the Bridgerton costume designer to dress them both in white bridal gowns during the ill fated wedding.
I think Edwina wearing white was not only signalling her assimilation into English culture, but also in the context of her having been raised in India it could be seen as her wearing a colour of mourning and attending a funeral, not a wedding. Combine the colour significance in Indian culture with the choice of song used for the walk down the aisle (Sign of the Times by Harry Styles), and you have all the elements of sadness not joy that should be associated with a wedding. For those unaware, The Sign of the Times is a song inspired by a mother dying in childbirth, it is from the point of view of the mother telling her child to go forth and conquer without her, a rather dark subject for a wedding song. However, this symbolism of death and mourning could also be to signal Edwina finally realising that Anthony does not love her (and never will), and the death of her idealism and innocence.
Further to the symbolism of death and mourning surrounding Edwina walking up the aisle, we see Anthony fantasise Kate is his bride, and she is also dressed in white. Whilst for Anthony it is bittersweet, the woman he truly loves appearing before him in a white wedding dress, for Kate it is more symbolic that she is in white. It was established very early in the season that Kate was very connected to her culture and rejected English customs (and Tea), as such it is hard to believe that Kate would wear an English style wedding dress in a mourning colour, so with that in mind was it deliberate that Kate was in white, to symbolise her mourning her lost love, lost youth, and the life she wanted?
This brings us back to the initial question Reddit user fbc1984 asked, would Kate have worn red for her wedding?
The scene referenced (and described above) is centred around Edwina's wedding and marriage, Edwina is being fitted for her dress and is standing in a white gown (mourning), whilst Kate is seated holding the bolt of Red and Gold cloth (celebratory). It seems to coincidental to have been a random choice of the director for Kate to be holding that particular bolt, as such I believe it was signalling that Kate was the true bride.
So to answer fbc1984's question, yes I do believe Kate wore red to her wedding, and further, I think (as another Redditor said) that she wore a lehenga.

Similar to my other post, is there any outcasts that weren't shown in season 1 that you would like to see in season 2?

I'm currently trying to get my boy off of reptile carpet but I'm worried because I use a heat mat. I don't want him to dig and hurt himself. (I've not had any problems personally with the mat but people say they are bad so I'm changing to a sand topsoil mix) I use a heat bulb on him during the day so that he gets some high quality heat, basking and daylight. I'm thinking that I could just take the mat off and only use the heat lamp during the day (this would cause the tank to drop to 70 at night). I've heard a nightly temp drop can be healthy but I'm worried because last time I attempted this he stopped eating for 2 months. He is very healthy he just has seasonal hunger strikes. Any advice on if this switch is worth it? (I do have a dimming fixture so don't worry)
Note: I am currently building a much larger bioactive setup for him but since it involves a lot of woodworking it's taking wayy longer than planned. (This will have loose substrate, halogens and daylight bulbs) (he already has and will continue to have uvb.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 5 months now.
We both play volleyball and go to the same volleyball club (mixed genders)
Last Wednesday evening (22nd of March), our club threw a small get-together for members before our game season starts.
My boyfriend and I went together, and his friends came too. They're casual members of the club as well.
For context, my boyfriend (as well as myself) hadn't made any efforts to arrange a proper introduction to his friends. When I did meet them, interactions were mostly short, polite chance meetings.I hadn't formed an opinion of them, however I always treated them respectfully. They're all single themselves.
Anyways, at the gathering, things were going fine. I was talking with my friends there when my boyfriend and his friends came up to me.
They were all laughing their heads off and were whispering something in my boyfriend's ear, with my boyfriend shaking his head and laughing too.After some more laughing, my boyfriend and his friends walked away, with one friend saying to me, "[name of boyfriend] thinks [name of male coach] is hot!"
This was definitely ironic, my boyfriend has expressed to me many times in the past that he's not gay and is borderline homophobic at times. The male coach is also about 10 years older than my boyfriend.
I didn't know what to say, I just nodded and continued talking to my friend.
I definitely felt uncomfortable with what happened - similar things had happened in the past when my boyfriend's friends were over at his house and they texted me things like,"All the boys are watching [portmanteau of both of our names]""[boyfriend's name] wants you to come over"etc.
I feel like I was being treated like a show pony, some form of entertainment for him and his friends.
The next day, I told my boyfriend how I felt and he said,"Yeah, I agree, they definitely see it as that (entertainment), I'll talk to them"
I thanked him and went about my day.
At the end of the day, while texting with my boyfriend, he told me that he spoke to his friends about not treating me like entertainment, and said that "Only 3/5 agreed to though"
I thanked him again for talking to his friends, however the last part of what he said bothered me. My opinion of his friend soured after that. I was also upset that my boyfriend didn't acknowledge that he was also complicit in some of the show pony-ing by not controlling his friend's frankly disrespectful behavior towards me on many occasions, with the club event being the latest one.

For context, my boyfriend frequently tells me that he's "busy" (he often heavily implies studying) in the afternoons for quite long periods of time (2-5 hours). This "busy ness" been going on for about a month now.

I'm understanding of this because I was under the impression he was studying, and as such I put up with it.
3 days ago, I was texting his roommate to pass on a message to my boyfriend. This was during the "no communication because of 'studying'" period.
His roommate told me that I could pass on the message to him myself, since he was online and texting his friend group chat on Whatsapp. The roommate is on my boyfriend's friend groupchat, by the way.
I was surprised, as my boyfriend had told me he doesn't check his phone while studying. I checked on Whatsapp, and sure enough, my boyfriend's status was "online"

I was honestly shocked. But I didn't want to make assumptions over something that could've been a one-off.
So over the past 3 days after that happened, I checked my boyfriend's Whatsapp online status during the "no communication because I'm 'studying'" period - and it confirmed my fear - every single time he was "online" or "last seen [last 5-10 minutes". Was this what was happening for the past month, when he was ignoring my messages and making me believe it was for his studies?
Reddit, I honestly feel betrayed by this and the club event, and don't know how to talk to my boyfriend about it anymore. I don't expect my boyfriend to text me 24/7 and sacrifice his friendship - but honestly, what he did feels wrong.
I feel so disillusioned about my relationship, and I'm avoiding my boyfriend out of fear that I'll find something else that'll unravel a harsh truth.
Please, what do I do?

I just bought this pan second hand. After I bought I prepared to season it: it had a 2 small surface rust spots which I managed to get rid off easily with some salt and a dish sponge. I noticed a small amount of black residue on the sponge afterwards but didn't think much off it.
After that I gave it a good wash in soapy water, this time the sponge had a lot of black residue on it and my fingertips were covered in a dark brown/black residue, I had to thoroughly wash my hands with a brush to get it off.
At this point I have no idea why this is happening. I dried it off with paper towels because I didn't want to mess up any of my towels. The paper towels got a lot of blackness on them. I placed it in the oven to make sure it's completely dry, got it out and put oil in it and started spreading it around and then the oil started getting thicker and brown and the paper-towel almost completely black.
While doing this last part with the oil it gave off a weird smell, like an old car part covered in grease and old burnt oil.
What the hell is going on? I don't have a lot of experience with cast iron apart from simple seasoning in the oven and cooking in them, so maybe this has an obvious answer. Is it perhaps, for whatever reason, old destroyed seasoning?
Edit: I have given it another very, very thorough wash with soap and a rough sponge and rubbed oil again. When washing some black comes off, but not nearly the same amount as what comes off when rubbing it with oil.

For context, I’m a female turning 20 in a week and I was diagnosed with PNES in April of 2022. My triggers are mostly based on heat, fevers, stress, anxiety, and sleep deprivation. At the time I was having them every other day and sometimes multiple in a row. Since, I’ve been able to go a month or two without having an episode. Last week, I ended my longest seizure free streak of 107 days. In that time, I started talking to someone and putting myself out there thinking this nightmare was almost over. Now, I’m heavily reliant on Clonapin this last week to get through stressful situations and am worried I’ll revert to the every other day scenario. Which brings me to my next point- I’m really bad at opening up, or normalizing my epilepsy. So I have a couple questions;
1) When should you tell potential partners you have epilepsy?
2) What if they start to treat you differently? (When most find out, I become a fix it project, or incapable of things they would’ve never 2nd guessed otherwise)
3) I’ve never been intimate with someone, should I be worried there’s certain triggers during the act?
4) Will it always feel embarrassing to admit I have epilepsy and does that make me less than? Is it a turn off?
5) What should I prepare myself for the most when I do eventually get in a relationship?

After watching episode one of season two and watching EW’s promo video that transitions between 1996 Yellowjackets and 2021 Yellowjackets, they show young and adult Van. Van is the only one who doesn’t look at the camera but faces forward. All the other modern Yellowjackets are quite obviously unstable. Misty is nuckin futs, Tai is a sleepwalking monster, Shauna is a cheating murderer, and Nat is a barely functional addict. My theory is that we haven’t seen Van at all because she’s the only surviving Yellowjacket that actually has her shit together. She survived the woods and went off radar avoiding publicity and her fellow survivors, maybe even changed her name to keep herself hidden. She’s probably just living a normal life with a wife or long time girlfriend and does not want anything to do with the Lottie cult, or any other Yellowjacket stuff. Maybe she didn’t look at the camera in the promo like the rest of them because she’s showing us that she’s not looking back on her past, only moving forward. Thoughts?

I think Ethan calling him out on his toxic views of mental illness was EVERYTHING. As a young girl who was proscribed Zoloft at 10 because I could not stop crying for hours daily, it is sooooo harmful to speak about depression the way this guy does. Coming from someone who was diagnosed as clinically depressed at such a young age (with a whole history of bipolar and depression leading to suicide in the family), I was just so impressed and nearly brought to tears with Ethan’s questioning and revelations about how truly harmful the alpha discourse is surrounding mental illness. Yes, of course being active and eating healthy makes you feel better! But someone who isn’t clinically depressed just doesn’t understand how detrimental it is and how deep it goes.
As a clinically depressed person, it is hard to wake up in the morning. I’m fully sure that everyone has experienced a version of this in difficult and depressing times in their lives - we’re all the same on that. The difference comes in when this is your baseline of being. Of course, I have had all of the normal experiences that every young person has (body issues, fitting in, wanting to be successful early on in your career and not finding it, etc). But, when you are truly clinically depressed, the external actions you take are simply not enough a lot of the time. Could I go to the gym more than 2 times per week? Absolutely. Would it make me stop sobbing for no reason and stop me from cutting myself to find literally any release I can? No.
I really don’t want to be morbid here, especially because this now feels like something I should write in my diary and is too personal, but idk, I just wanted my voice heard somewhere. This conversation was so important to me because I have spent countless days alone in my bed in my dark cave of a room beating myself up for being “lazy” and blaming myself for not being better. I was just so happy to see Ethan call Chadley out for his misogyny and ignorance on mental illness. Antidepressants are not the easy way out - they saved my life.

couldn't sleep and realized it was 3am so I logged into Disney+ to see if anything was added and I see the new season of Secrets of Sulphur Springs got added today...but it looks like the whole season is there? don't they usually air their series 1 ep per week? First of all, Joe literally did not even need to apologize for this whole stupid thing. Fischer was totally milking the metoo movement and taking the attention away from real victims. If I remember in season 2 (or maybe 3) Joe wasn’t even harassing her, he literally just had a small crush on her, and maybe flirted with her a little bit. Your answers will help me and others make better career decisions about AI safety, including how I should proceed with this movement building approach. If we want to more effectively address problems of AI safety, alignment, and governance, we need better i) shared understanding of the challenges, better coordination of people and resources, and ii) prioritisation.

Comparing Health Interventions in Colombia and Nigeria: Which are More Effective and by How Much?

TL;DR: Nigeria bears 10 times the burden of communicable, maternal, neonatal, and nutritional diseases per capita than Colombia, despite both countries having similar health expenditures to combat these diseases. Applying the SNT framework suggests that health interventions are around 10 times more cost-effective in Nigeria even when comparing only the poorest regions within each country.
Chatting with the members of my EA university group in Colombia, I noticed many of them were mainly interested in contributing to problems that affected their home country. Although Colombia is far from being one of the poorest countries in the world, various regions of the country still suffer from similar problems as less developed countries. I thought there might be a chance that we found opportunities with similar cost-effectiveness as those that EA tends to prioritize in the area of health and development.
