A few weeks ago I found a cat under a car with a limp leg, I took it in for the night and grew and attachment for it but I ended up giving it to the humane society because I couldn’t afford the costs for medical attention.
After a few weeks I saw him up for adoption so I decided to get him. Once I brought him home it was like no time had passed and he was extremely affectionate and would not leave my side no matter what. He would love being pet and cuddled and would always have to be on my lap.
I do have a part time job and have to leave him in my room for about 6-7 hours a day, about 4 times a week. I haven’t introduced him to the rest of my house because I have other animals so it all takes time. But recently I have noticed that he isn’t cuddly anymore, he doesn’t care to be pet, he doesn’t sleep with me, he doesn’t go up for a pet when I reach my hand out. I suspect he does have an upper respiratory infection (vet Appoitment is on Friday) He eats well and drinks plenty water so I know he isn’t too I’ll. I just am devasted because I feel like I’m doing something wrong or I’m upsetting him by leaving for work. I feel like he just would’ve rather not been adopted by me anymore and I am feeling really sad and emotional by it.

I was asked to babysit my nephew one evening. My sister and brother in law wanted to have their first evening out since baby arrived and I was happy to babysit.
I came over and my sister went over some details and mentioned that she had a load of baby clothes in dryer. She asked if I had the time to take out the clothes and fold them. They left to enjoy their evening and 30 minutes after I hear the dryer sound letting me know it was done drying. I scooped up my nephew and placed him in his crib. I went to the laundry room and took the clothes out and folded them. I placed all the clothes in a basket and placed the basket on the changing table. I took my sleeping nephew out of the crib and placed him inside his bassinet in the living room. I watched tv quietly for awhile until I heard a loud bang come from the nursery (the room we were in earlier). I peeked into the bassinet and my nephew was still sleeping soundly. I quietly made my way over to see what made the noise and opened the door to the nursery. The laundry basket I had placed on the changing table was now on the other side of the room on the floor upside down. The neatly folded baby clothes looked as though they had been tossed around. I quickly just picked up the basket and clothes and brought them back to the living room to re-fold. I was confused by the whole situation but didn’t want to ruin my sister and brother in laws evening and decided just to not mention the incident. Rest of the evening went smoothly.
A few months went by and my sister asked if I could babysit for an evening. I agreed and this time my mom joined my sister and brother in law as they were going to a casino. My nephew had been napping prior to their departure and my sister said he would need to be fed when he woke up. My nephew woke up thirty minutes after they left and I brought him to the kitchen and placed him in a chair as I prepared his bottle. (Before I go into what happen next, my name is Angelina yet everyone calls me Angie. My mother particularly only used my full name when I was in trouble or angry with me. All in all it’s rare to hear my full name being used.) Suddenly, I hear my mom yelling angrily from what seemed like the nursery “Angelina, come here now”. I yelled out “just a second, I’m in the middle of making the babies bottle”. Then again I hear my mom call out “Angelina COME HERE NOW” but now sounding like she was in the master bedroom. Frustrated and confused I yelled back “What is going on? One second…” I picked up my nephew and went into the master bedroom talking on the way to what I assumed was my mom asking “What was going on? Why are you so upset? What happened?” and walked into an empty room. I looked around and my mother was no where in the master bedroom. I looked in the nursery and empty as well. I looked throughout the rest of the home (guest bedroom, bathroom, and garage) and eventually checked the driveway for cars and only seen my car. I came back inside and called my mom. I said “Hey! Did you guys come back and forget something?” and my mom answered a confused “no…why?” to which I responded “I just heard you a bit ago…you sounded upset?” and she responded “I don’t know what you’re talking about…we’ve been on the road for over 30 minutes now.” My stomach immediately sank. Once again, I didn’t want to ruin their evening and just told her it must have been the television (even though it was off the entire time). After I hung up, the doorbell immediately rang. My heart nearly jumped out of my chest and I quickly walked to the door. I immediately almost opened the door without checking thinking that my mom was just pulling a prank and she was going to be at the door. I paused for a moment and decided to look out the peep hole. No one was outside. I opened the door to peek out to see if there was any cars in the driveway and still seeing my car. I instantly got this overwhelming sense of dread. No one was visibly outside and from where that house was located you could clearly see the street in both directions.
I never mentioned any of these incidents to my sister until she moved out of this rental home. As I was helping her move, I noticed that she had moved my nephews crib into the master bedroom. I asked her why she had moved the crib into her room (more to see if my nephew had any sleep issues). What she told me was completely unexpected. She said around Halloween, she had bought a black light and had plugged it in the nursery room. The room instantly lit up with what she described as a huge concentrated stain in the middle of the room with hand prints going up the walls. She immediately just felt very uncomfortable and moved the crib into her bedroom that night.
I told her what had happened the first time I watched my nephew and she opened up that strange things were happening in the house and was the main reason she was moving. She was experiencing lights flickering in the home, the doorbell ringing and no one was at the front door, and hearing voices. She said the landlord offered to lower the rent if they signed a year lease. She said the landlord told her that he was having issues keeping tenants in the rental and that she was the only tenant who stayed the longest. She refused the offer and moved.
I always wondered if anything happened in that home and wish I did investigate the home further. I absolutely hate that whatever was in that home mimicked my mother’s voice.

She has a kind heart too, good values, very sarcastic, intelligent, very self aware, street wise, arguably a lot more street wise than me, witty. She has had a lot of experience in her life and is in some ways a lot more intelligent and socially intelligent and street wise than myself. I tend to be a bit naive.
We make each other laugh a lot. We’ve even talked about going into the gym together. We’re not formally dating. - we haven’t even had a date - but that’s been discussed but we’re trying to go really slow as friends.
Only issue is we’re 9 years apart - I’m 9 years older. I
feel really torn on it because I really like her as a person, and it seems mutual. But I’d also rather not be crucified by today’s society. And I worry about feeling gross internally if it proceeds.

I am 19,i live in Indonesia, and i live alone in a Girl Dorm because i moved out and have cut ties from my mentally abusive family that would attempt to seriously harm me. i am unemployed and my fiance is the one that covers all my financial needs ever since i moved out of the house.
And for my Fiance,he is 21 years old, and lives in California US. He is currently employed and earning minimum wage. He lives in a rented apartment along with his mother and Two siblings (both under 21).
We cant get married in Indonesia, since theres only religious marriage & i will need my legal guardian or parents for marriage approval.
I cant visit him to the US since theres too high of a chance of my US visitor visa getting rejected.
And i will explain our plan down below :
I will apply for a Mexico tourist Visa for myself (19F) in Indonesia, one of the main requirements for the Visa is financial proof, this will require us to wait for 3 Months while having around 3,200$ USD saved in my bank account.
Get married Legally Married in mexico. The reason we chose mexico to get married in is because mexico doesnt require a person above 18 to have parental/legal guardian's approval, nor for a person to have the same religion to get legally married, other than that, it is easy for him to travel to mexico since he also has families there. The plane ticket from indonesia to mexico is very expensive for us though.
Apply for a CR1 spousal visa. I heard that CR1 visa grants you a temporary greencard, and this is great for me since i want to go to work as soon as i can to help with our financial needs.

I am 19,i live in Indonesia, and i live alone in a Girl Dorm because i moved out and have cut ties from my mentally abusive family that would attempt to seriously harm me. i am unemployed and my fiance is the one that covers all my financial needs ever since i moved out of the house.
And for my Fiance,he is 21 years old, and lives in California US. He is currently employed and earning minimum wage. He lives in a rented apartment along with his mother and Two siblings (both under 21).
We cant get married in Indonesia, since theres only religious marriage & i will need my legal guardian or parents for marriage approval.
I cant visit him to the US since theres too high of a chance of my US visitor visa getting rejected.
And i will explain our plan down below :
- I will apply for a Mexico tourist Visa for myself (19F) in Indonesia, one of the main requirements for the Visa is financial proof, this will require us to wait for 3 Months while having around 3,200$ USD saved in my bank account.
- Get married Legally Married in mexico. The reason we chose mexico to get married in is because mexico doesnt require a person above 18 to have parental/legal guardian's approval, nor for a person to have the same religion to get legally married, other than that, it is easy for him to travel to mexico since he also has families there. The plane ticket from indonesia to mexico is very expensive for us though.
- Apply for a CR1 spousal visa. I heard that CR1 visa grants you a temporary greencard, and this is great for me since i want to go to work as soon as i can to help with our financial needs.

I am self-drafting a pants pattern in cigarette slim style (not quite skinny). Having a hard time getting both the crotch curve right and the narrow leg to hang nicely. There's limited information online about balancing a pant pattern, and conflicting: some say use the inseam and others say go by the outer seam. I have a couple modern pant patterns that I have tried to use as reference but they are not that helpful and give me more of a carrot shape.
I'm stuck and nearing almost two dozen prototypes!! Please help me finish a pant pattern lol. I am complicating it more by not using darts so it will be a 4-panel pant pattern with a waist facing (as the fabric I intend to use works better if it doesn't have extra seams or darts). And I would like it to work with non-stretch fabric. The issue I kept having at the beginning of this process was excess baggy back leg under the bum, but I think I have figured that out - mostly.

Hi all. So I’m trying to switch to a new shampoo and conditioner. Whenever I’m at Whole Foods I’m always eyeing their store brand hair care because it is a bit more affordable. CFK say that Whole Foods (365) is CF and a few other sites do as well but something that makes me confused is when brands don’t advertise it on their products.
Of course they don’t have to, but what I like about most CF brands is that usually, somewhere, they have something relating to their animal testing stance (leaping bunny logo, peta logo, a simple not tested on animals) and etc.
Whole Foods doesn’t do this on any of their store brand products (unless I’m missing it). It does say (on some of their shampoos at least) that it doesn’t contain animal derived ingredients, but nothing about being CF.

How do others feel about this? It’s not a huge deal but I just find it weird. If you’re trying to be ethical-tell the consumer looking at the product straight up.

There’s this one neighborhood black cat who I feed, and yesterday on a walk I saw him. He was super sweet he let our group pet him, he showed his belly and we have him belly rubs, rubbed his body, I fed him with my hand and he ate from the bag I was carrying, overall he loved the affection we showed towards. That very night I put my shirt out on my front door so that he can remember my smell from when we first interacted. He came back two hours from our walk and he smelled my shirt and continued to eat. So at least he knows I live here.
The next night, I got the camera motion detector that he swung by for his nightly meal in the front, so I watched him eat through the door. When I was watching him, my dog barked out of no where from the living room then he got a little spooked and looked at the door. He saw me raise my voice at my dog and then I looked back at the cat then he ran away. in the camera, it showed he stayed for a couple of seconds but then he ran off. I think it has a very sensitive sense of hearing due to its ear mites so seeing everything unfold spooked him. I’m worried that this caused him to lose is trust in me and he will run away from me when I see him. I really want to treat his ear mites but worried it doesn’t trust me to get near him.

I was a vegan for two years (2016 to 2018). Out of “nowhere” I started developing a social eating disorder where I was terrified of eating in front of other people, due to the judgement I experienced from others about what I ate. This, combined with many social eating situations that left me unsatisfied (in terms of portions or nutrients), made me extremely anxious to eat in front of others. I refused to eat in front of others until early 2019 or so. Trying to do so prematurely caused me to sweat profusely or pick at my food, but still refuse to eat it.
To this day, I am still mildly affected by this phenomenon (eating generally less in front of others than I would alone), but it’s gotten significantly better. Memories of being ostracized, judged, and misunderstood because of veganism caused a lot of problems for my ability to eat comfortably near others. I still, to this day, scan the menus of restaurants I’m about to go to with friends to see which food will attract the least attention that I would still enjoy eating (even though I’m no longer vegan) and it’s a task sometimes, but I am happy to say I am wayyyyyyyyyy more comfortable eating in front of others now than before. :)

Recently, I've started going to the gym to improve my fitness and overall health. My focus is on building muscle mass through weightlifting and improving my cardio with swimming and running. While I'm still working on toning up my upper body and shedding some fat, I'm enjoying the process of taking care of my body and seeing the positive changes it brings.
In terms of personal hygiene, I believe in taking care of myself and making an effort to always look and feel my best. I use facial cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen regularly. It's the little things that make a big difference, and I think that taking care of oneself is key to living a happy and healthy life.
When it comes to my ideal partner, I'm looking for someone who shares my values and has a growth mindset. I'm attracted to people who are optimistic and believe that instead of being complacent, if they want something they will take steps towards getting it. I'm also looking for someone who is generous with their time and care, as I myself am naturally the type to put in a lot of effort and time into the person I am talking with. Communication is a two way street and if one person is carrying the conversation it just won't work. I'm not the type to chase if that's what they are expecting.
I'm starting to get into outdoor activities and would love to find someone who can motivate me to try new things and explore new places. I'm excited to see where life takes me, and I'm looking forward to meeting someone who can share that journey with me.
