Liberty North won the boys and combined/coed categories mainly by winning baseball and girls soccer championships within minutes of each other on June 4th.
Incarnate Word had the best girls sports performance by winning state in basketball (as usual), a runner-up finish in volleyball along with quarterfinal appearances in softball and soccer.
I realized that I should be splitting third and fourth place points between teams where there was no 3rd place/consolation game (football this year). Teams should be getting 27 points, (30 + 24) / 2, instead of 24. I will soon retro-actively make this change to past seasons and hope outcome are not affected.

I have a friend that is trying to move to Canada after being kicked out of their home but they need to prove financial stability. With their parents no longer supporting them at all they are stuck not being able to get into Canada but they can’t work because they have no place to stay and they can’t work in Canada because they can’t get the documents without money. The long and short of it is my ex is moving out of state, and we decided he’d be in a better position with more opportunities if our 7 year old son moved with her.
I have a few ideas of how to maximize my parenting and interactions with him from here, but I’m also an emotional wreck so I’m probably not thinking clearly. If you have any experience with this I’d love to learn how best to go about this.

Been trying (and failing) for two years to get my league to switch over to IDP from just standard team defense. I don’t think team defenses have a place in dynasty, only redraft.
However, teams claim they’ve made roster moves based on how we setup the league and are reluctant to make the switch to IDP. I think if propose IDP with a legitimate action plan on how to convert the league fairly I can sway some votes.

My wife and I have been trying to plan our next vacation for almost a year now. She admitted to me that she has chosen where we went the last few times and that it’s my turn to pick. I lived in Europe for a while during my childhood, and would love to show her where I grew up. however, whenever this comes up, she seems to always have an excuse and doesn’t want to apply for a passport. Almost every time we talk about Europe she’ll bring up Disney World a few day later. We both love Disney movies, but she is a much larger fan than I am. We went to a couple of parks a year and a half ago . She keeps going on and on about how it’s such a magical place and I get that it really is a unique experience. However, it feels like my decision is not being respected. I also feel that the cultural experience of traveling abroad is much greater than the experience of going to a manufactured experience that’s designated to take your money.
She has expressed that she wants to go to Europe, and would love to see where I grew up, but her actions say otherwise. she doesn’t have a passport at the moment and I can’t make her to get one. She doesn’t seem to understand how long it takes to get one (We live in the US). She started the application process this morning and got mad when she saw that it would cost $180 for a 10 year passport so she cancelled her appointment.
We have decided that we are going to start trying to have a child at the end of this year and I’d like to get to Europe before we have a kid. I feel that Disney would be a lot more fun if we have a child and once they get older. I even tried to compromise by suggesting a trip to the Caribbean or Hawaii in case traveling to Europe, was part of the issue, and that didn’t seem to make any difference. I’m at a loss. I don’t mind going to Disney but I keep getting conflicting messages.
Should I let let her have her way this time and ask that I get to pick next time? Europe isn’t going anywhere and it can still be enjoyed when we are older. Is there a different way I can explain my frustration to her?

So I’ve been with my Narc Husband for a decade and just the last couple years learned he was a narc. I always would let everything go in the past when he was mean because he’s also really sweet sometimes. I’ve been seeing a therapist who suggested I look into apartments to show him I’m serious about him changing and doing therapy. I’m very codependent and am terrified I could make the wrong choice. My therapist has been pretty pushy the last couple months about it and it’s kind of overwhelming me because I don’t like change, I’m terrified I’ll regret it, I’m terrified no matter what I say, he will see it as me trying to leave him forever instead of it just being a separation. We had a fight before I decided to actually get the apartment but then he apologized and acted great for a while. So then I tried to tell him I got the apartment and only mentioned the idea before it was shot down as stupid and he wanted to know who put the thought in my head because it didn’t sound like me. I felt so guilty that I couldn’t tell him I already got it. I’ve been paying on it for a few months now while also paying my half of the mortgage and bills at our house. After a girls trip that he ended up having another fight with me about, he finally realized he was acting crazy in the moment by calling over 200 times and finally got signed up for therapy. Ever since then (1 month) he’s been the perfect husband. Finally doing everything I’ve needed him to do and not being so negative. Except for our last therapy session, he told the therapist it was the best session yet but then when the call was done, told me he didn’t want to do it anymore and that it was a waste of time. He didn’t like how he felt guilty and said I can pay for it from now on. Before this session, our first session afterwards he told me he’d do whatever it took and spend whatever it took to make it better and then cried. When I brought that up, he said “you shouldn’t have taken that seriously”. I said, you literally cried… how am I not supposed to take that seriously. I think he just doesn’t want to continue therapy because it’s expensive. Basically Im between a rock and a hard place. My codependency is on 10 right now because he’s being so perfect except for this little slip last week. Part of me wants to just cancel the apartment by trying to see if I can end the contract somehow and then part of me is anxious because I know my therapist will be disappointed. I also can’t tell what the right answer is for me. It should be easy but it’s not. Sometimes I truly feel like he’s my soulmate and then other times I’m shocked he can say such mean things. It’s all verbal too which makes it more difficult for me to see if it’s really that bad since I read other peoples stories where people are threatening to unalive their spouse. He’s never terrifying like that, just has anger issues in general and other typical narc stuff.

Piece begins at 1:43 and is of classical style, most likely stemming from the 21st century, with a violin, piano and cello. Video itself takes place in the 1980s, piece would thus be before this. I struggle with Pure O. Been struggling with this for about 11 years now.

Checking in because I told myself I would. As of april 24th this year, I'm four years sober. I rarely think about alcohol, and when I'm around it I largely feel queasy at this point. I even did an internship at a place that analyzes alcohol with zero urge to drink - if anything, it only confirmed for me that I am okay.
I don't suggest people do it the way I did it. I white-knuckled it after binging for a decade and I paid the price by getting sick as a dog, and I know that if I ever start drinking again, the detox will be even worse. A worse one would kill me.
But I'm here, four years in, and I'm doing okay.

Someone who will do what the republicans say they will do - balance the budget and actually make progress into paying down the deficit. It's not fair to our kids to make them pay our debt with compounded interest. They should also be very tolerant as far as social policies go, but not to the point where it feels like they are forcing you to agree with opinions or basically anything that isn't proven science. Tolerance will be emphasized but acceptance will not be required.
Next, they will eliminate wasteful government spending. They will tax the top 1% the most and eliminate loopholes for large corporations and more heavily regulate big banks. They will instead give all of the tax breaks to the smaller companies in order to break up monopolies and foster competition for a change. The government will look to downsize what it does, as much as possible, in order to work on paying down our debt to strengthen the dollar and truly stop inflation. Also, Outsourcing will be allowed but it will be taxed to at the very least meet or exceed a reasonable salary expectation for the position. Taxes will be strategically used to keep jobs in the U.S at any cost.
They will eliminate public assistance and in its place will be government work available for anyone. This can include things as simple as cleaning trash up on the highway, green projects, helping with education, roads and infrastructure, helping with foster children, the list goes on and on. Nobody will be rejected and the only people unable to get a job and still claim assistance will be people with proven disabilities that can't do anything; a much shorter list. Society will now see a return for the money spent on these programs while at the same time we will virtually eliminate unemployment.
Medical monopolies will be broken up. There will be no universal health care or non disabled Medicaid BUT laws will be put into place capping the maximum amount a person can pay for healthcare to be 5% of their monthly income. Companies will once again have to compete for business, as it should always be.
Education shall be focused on making the individual successful at working and earning a high salary. Basic tax and business principals will now be taught. Parents may allow children to take things related to liberal arts as electives, but students will now have the option to skip anything that won't give them a marketable skill. The first two years of college or trade school will now be included. This will be one of the few concessions we will allow our government to tax us for, since it will pay for itself over the long run.
We will continue to send older weapons and money to allies willing to put that in writing; Ukraine, for example, will continue to receive money to continue their efforts as well as our older unused weaponry. However, we will no longer be the aggressors or the world police, under any circumstances. Ukraine will serve as an example of our foreign policy for future generations; help our allies help themselves! We will cut R&D into new weaponry as well as manufacture of new weapons of war, at least until the time our deficit is paid back. We will maintain what we have now and continue to have our military on standby, just in case. Hopefully, we can cut the military budget by at least 75% with this strategy, using the money to either pay down the deficit or create even more government sponsored jobs.
The wall will be finished and migrants will be allowed legal processes to get into this country. Nobody who enters illegally will be allowed to stay now. If we don't respect our own laws why would the rest of the world?
Once our deficit has been paid in full we can go back to lots of R&D for weaponry / medical research. Also, infrastructure beyond just the bare minimum. We can create more jobs at the same time doing this. There will eventually be so many jobs Wage growth will create the job market we so desperately need. We will also begin to send aid to countries that need it.
We will have a government that actually does very little, instead mostly just facilitating the creation of jobs and maintenance of the status quo. This candidate will have a lot of work in front of him; his/her priority will be to make a positive impact on as many peoples lives as he/she possibly can.

So the first of several of my questions is while my etsy is mostly about stuff from the 90s and 2000s there are some other things on there that are not related to that. Should I keep to just the 90s and 200s stuff or is it ok to branch out and have other subjects/stuff included in the shop?
Pricing wise should I keep my pricing where it is or raise it?
Should I reduce the number of sizes and materials (the white and transparent paper) that I offer?

Good evening redditors , hopefully u r doing well , i got an issue in need to share here since I didn’t find any direct help or advice from people around me as much as i searched , I am a third year medical school student “ medical school is 6 years in my country “ and i took up a part time job since I seriously lack motivation for studying only , it was nothing a thing for me .
Basically I believe y’all would ask why did i come cross medicine in the first place if that is so , well i barely had any better options so it is an obligated reality for me , I would switch careers if i had any better chances but nothing is around til now , that is why i am trying to discover other options as they come.
