2023.05.17 18:32 HopeOpen9227 Do trip reservations pay drastically more?
| So I have been driving for 3 months and it's seems like once every 2 weeks or so I will get a short trip that will pop up and pay 3 times more than usual and it's always a reservation. I check the reservations tab multiple times a day and I have never see any available reservations on the app (I assume other drivers accept them before I go on there to look.) my question is for drivers in cities where they're able to accept reservations before other drivers get to them, do they always pay drastically more? Or is it only when Uber sends you a request that happens to be a reservation? I tried turning on reservation notifications but I still never notified of them and have yet to be able to catch an open reservation on the app. I see multiple reservations on the Lyft app a day so I know riders are making them, I just need to learn how to catch them before they're gone submitted by HopeOpen9227 to uberdrivers [link] [comments] |

Right off US 319 south of Tallahassee, the Leon Sinks Geological Area contains 5 miles of trails leading to a series of sinkholes big and small. The land in this area is underlain by a layer of limestone, eroded and dissolved by rainwater and groundwater to form caverns, holes, and tunnels. This type of terrain is called "karst" and results in many geological features such as wet sinkholes, depressions, natural bridges and a disappearing stream. The hikers can either hike the 3.6-mile Sinkhole Trail to view the numerous sinkholes and geological features, or the 2.8-mile Gum Swamp Trail around a cypress and gum swamp. We recommend wear hiking shoes and bringing a water bottle and consider bug spray or long pants/sleeves. 9am

Events are listed by the day. Events that happen every week appear first, one time stuff after that. Large Scale, Ongoing, and Multi-Day Events - The Diary of Anne Frank at the Monticello Opera House. This moving and profoundly important drama, drawn from previously unpublished portions of Anne Frank’s famous memoirs, follows Anne’s precarious coming-of-age time as she and her family hide in a secret annex space above her father’s former office in Amsterdam, while the Nazis are busy deporting Dutch Jews to their deaths. Each day of these dark years, Anne’s voice shines through: “When I write I shake off all my cares. But I want to achieve more than that. I want to be useful and bring enjoyment to all people, even those I’ve never met. I want to go on living even after my death!” See https://www.monticellooperahouse.org/ for dates and times.

Events are listed by the day. Events that happen every week appear first, one time stuff after that. If you have anything you’d like people to know about, comment here or message me and I’ll add it in. If you’d like further info about any of the events, look it up! I usually don’t have any extra to add.
- Nunsense at Chapman Auditorium, Apalachicola. Panhandle Players present Nunsense: The Mega-Musical by Dan Goggin, April 21-23, 2023. This musical is a hilarious spoof about the misadventures of five nuns trying to manage a fundraiser. Sadly, the rest of the sisterhood died from botulism after eating vichyssoise prepared by Sister Julia, Child of God. Thus, the remaining nuns – ballet-loving Sister Leo, street-wise Sister Robert Anne, befuddled Sister Mary Amnesia, the Mother Superior Sister Regina, and mistress of the novices Sister Mary Hubert – stage a talent show in order to raise the money to bury their dearly departed. With catchy songs and irreverent comedy, Nunsense is sure to keep audiences rolling with laughter. See the site for details and tickets: https://www.floridasforgottencoast.com/event/panhandle-players-present-nunsense/

2023.02.27 20:05 shinebrida what dept to write money order to in FL dmv?
I wrote here a while back about our ongoing contentions with FL dmv....My husband has to send a money order to FL DMV on Appalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee along with a certificate of completion of a dui course to get his license reinstated. This is from 20 YEARS ago and he thought it was all completed, IL never said anything about it, now trying to get WA license and up it comes. So it's been a saga. We have all the things, but it seems like everyone is telling us different things for addressing this damn money order. We've alternatively been told to write Bureau of Motor Compliance , Dept of Motor Services, Dept of Motor Vehicles and various combinations. Everyone says different things and I'm over it. I've not ever been to FL so personally no idea. Anyone know?

He mixes his spicy slide guitar with his Liquid Summer Hot Sauce right into every night's performance of his own gumbo recipe. It's a multi-sensory soul shouting picnic of rock and roll brotherhood. And at the end of the night, everybody eats. "The Sauce Boss does his cooking on stage Stirring and a' singing for his nightly wage Sweating and a' fretting from his head to his toe, playing and buffeting with the gumbo" from "I Will Play for Gumbo" by Jimmy Buffett. 7:30pm/$30

- City Hall: Urban Gorilla 2023. Celebrating its 24th year, the Tallahassee Urban Gorilla is an in-town celebration of Tallahassee's extensive network of trails. Urban Gorilla starts at City Hall and heads towards Cascades Park, Myers Park, Indianhead Acres, Kohls Trail, Fern Trail, Tom Brown Park, Cadillac, Alford Greenway, Miccosukee Greenway, Maclay Gardens/Lake Overstreet ($2 park fee - bring cash!), Phipps, Red Bug, Live Oak Plantation, then back towards downtown by way of Waverly Hills, Betton Hills, Midtown, and Old Town. If you complete the classic route you'll cover 50+ miles! Make sure you ride smart and within your ability! The Gorilla will always be a free event, however, in our efforts to continue to support new trail and maintain existing trail we are accepting donations! If you haven't experienced the Urban Gorilla before make sure you're at City Hall by 8:45am and be ready to roll at 9am! The Gorilla will break up into smaller groups riding at their own pace so you will have plenty of groups and speeds to pick from. The beauty of the Urban Gorilla is you can do as much or as little as you want. Think of it as a "choose your own adventure" kind of ride. Because of the historically large turnout, chances are riders will break up into groups of similar speeds and abilities. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A FULLY CHARGED FRONT(WHITE) AND REAR(RED) BLINKING LIGHT AS SOME PORTIONS OF THE ROUTE ARE ON ROADS. PLEASE FOLLOW ALL RULES AND LAWS TO MAKE YOUR EXPERIENCE A SAFE GORILLA! There is no "official" route for this ride. The best way to get a full UG experience is to simply follow the wheels in front of you! Routes will vary from group to group depending on their interests and skill levels - very few attendees complete our suggested route. 8:45am
