Don't Let Reddit Kill 3rd Party Apps!š·What's going on?
A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app
permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from
Apollo to
Reddit is Fun to
Narwhal to
BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface .
This isn't only a problem on the user level: many subreddit moderators depend on tools only available outside the official app to keep their communities on-topic and spam-free.
What's the plan?
On June 12th,
many subreddits will be going dark to protest this policy. Some will return after 48 hours: others will go away
permanently unless the issue is adequately addressed, since many moderators aren't able to put in the work they do with the poor tools available through the official app. This isn't something any of us do lightly: we do what we do because
we love Reddit, and we truly believe this change will make it impossible to keep doing what we love.
The two-day blackout isn't the
goal, and it isn't the end. Should things reach the 14th with no sign of Reddit choosing to fix what they've broken, we'll use the community and buzz we've built between then and now as a tool for further action.
What can
you do?
- Complain. Message the mods of reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.
- Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to your cat. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join us at our sister sub at ModCoord - but please don't pester mods you don't know by simply spamming their modmail.
- Boycott and spread the word...to Reddit's competition! Stay off Reddit entirely on June 12th through the 13th- instead, take to your favorite non-Reddit platform of choice and make some noise in support!
- Don't be a jerk. As upsetting this may be, threats, profanity and vandalism will be worse than useless in getting people on our side. Please make every effort to be as restrained, polite, reasonable and law-abiding as possible. This includes not harassing moderators of subreddits who have chosen not to take part: no one likes a missionary, a used-car salesman, or a flame warrior.

This sub will be participating in the 48-hour Reddit blackout on June 12 and 13. During this period, our subreddit will be unavailable and inaccessible. This decision is made in solidarity with Reddit users, moderators, and the members of
Blind, who face significant difficulty due to Reddit's proposed API changes. We believe that accessibility is a fundamental aspect of any online platform. We also believe that accessibility should never be restricted or monetized in a way that limits the opportunities for individuals with disabilities. We condemn Reddit's recent policy changes as we believe they do both.

2023.06.09 04:06 ThePlauge2061 [All] In your opinion, do you prefer your zelda games with more Japanese or European aesthetics.
Iāve played a majority of the zelda titles and Iāve started to notice the mix of each culturalās aspect in the games. But in some games the aesthetic leans more one way than the other.
Twilight Princess seems like it uses a 90/10 split on design.
-Castle town is pretty much 95% based on a European city with stone buildings and -Thereās a dragon boss modeled after a Wales Wyvern. -Bulbins look like medieval fantasy bandits. -Links armor has chain mail. -Snowpeak ruins is an English style manor. -Eldin and Hylia bridge seemed based on European stone arch bridges with checkpoints at both entrances.
But the few Japanese influences I remember are some of the clothing styles and the Gordon sumo competition.
While BOTW and TOTK use a larger Japanese design with about a 30/70 split.
-The dragons are more based off of Asian myth. -The ancient Shiekah shrines and guardian designs are based off medieval Japanese pottery. -The modern Shiekah and Yiga are dressed in obvious Japanese robes and ninja garb. -The modern Shiekah and Yiga also live in buildings heavily based on Japanese design.
And the only European influences I noticed are Hyrule castle, several weapons, and the hylian soldier armor. Everything else was either original or based on another culture.
I like the European aesthetic a bit more than Japanese. I still love the design of BOTW/TOTK but I just love twilight princessās design. Which do you prefer? Would you have one fully made one way or the other?

2023.06.09 04:04 incognitoburrito79 How to find a blepharoplasty surgeon in Denver?
I've decided that I want to get blepharoplasty done.
I have really puffy upper eyelids which cause me to have squinty eyes. I started calling around and got 2 quotes so far. The prices for them are in the range of $5-7k which seems above the average market rate. I also started looking at places that have 4.8 or 4.9 star ratings on Google. How do I go about finding a surgeon to do this procedure at a more reasonable cost? Do I just keep calling around?

2023.06.09 03:59 icei98 My dad SAed me.
My parents have always been abnormal. My father is a never ending cheater, my mother is a narcissist. I am a trans female, and of course they do not approve. They fake fun of me wearing wigs, make fun of me painting nails, and they make snarky comments all the time.
Believe it or not, when I was around 13 my father, drunk and high as shit, admitted to being a pedophile while talking to me. He explained how he had sex with a 14 year old girl when he was 21, and he told me he, and I quote him exactly here, āOnly stopped cause she blocked me.ā
Now for the confession. Iām currently 16. About a month ago, I was standing in the kitchen with my face staring down at the counter. My dad came up behind me and grabbed me firmly around the waist. āWhat are you doing? Stopā I said loud enough for him to hear, but he then tightened his grip so I couldnāt move. He then proceeded to push hhis erect penis against my ass through my shorts. I was scared and didnāt know what to do, I felt helpless and horrible about myself. He pushed farther and farther and began to move one of his hands towards the front of me body. All of a sudden, he pushed off of me and pulled his phone out. My mom then rounded the corner and smiled at me as my dad walked out of the room beside her. She asked, āeverything okay? You look upset.ā I didnāt tell her what happened.
I have no idea what to do, who to tell, or where to go. I donāt know if I should be telling somebody or not, but honestly idk if Iād have the confidence anyway.

2023.06.09 03:58 cutesiepoopsie Do any other INFJsā¦..
Okay I am totally new here and totally engrossed in scrolling this sub to see what other INFJs are like and any similarities we share. So I thought Iād post some quirks of myself that Iām wondering if anyone shares and if people think they are due to my INFJ personality or something else!
- I have multiple Pinterest boards with specially curated quotes (hundreds of quotesā¦) for different moods I feel (most of them are for negative feelings and I use it as inspiration to pull me out of those thoughts).
- Absolutely overthink everything to the point where Safari is one of my most-used apps because I LOVE reading about what other people have experienced. For example, if I get even a tiny intrusive thought about a friendship or relationship going downhill I will read at least 5-6 articles on the specific thought I had and will seek out reddit posts of other people who had the same thought and why. Among literally every other possible situation that could happen to me.
- Difficult for me to take drugs because I fear losing control of my consciousness if that makes sense? Iām very happy in my own brain and comfortable with my thoughts so any change to that brings me intense anxiety, sometimes even being drunk freaks me out because I am not completely āmyselfā.
- Serial hobbyist. I have a corner in my office with all the hobbies Iāve started and gotten just good enough at that I allowed my eyes to stray to yet another craft. When I get into a hobby it consumes me for a little while until I move on to the next great thing. Same thing with video games, series, foods, etc. Intense interest and then none at all.
- Misophonia. Boiling anger when I hear people chewing that I feel guilty about shortly after I canāt hear it anymore and the anger subsides. I say some nasty things about people in my brain, but would never dare ask them to stop in person.
- Too much self-awareness!!! I was very involved in theatre and band in high school and marveled at the people who could practice or warm up in the presence of others. I can only truly practice my voice and instrument when I am completely alone with no worries someone can hear me (and unfortunately I live in an apartment and even though itās my own space, I know the walls are paper thin so I am uncomfortable even practicing at home). This is just one example but a frequent question in my head about other people is āHAVE YOU NO SHAME?!?ā.
- Trouble with eye-contact. More like trouble understanding how much is enough or too much. I stare at people when they speak to me so they know Iām listening but when itās my turn to speakā¦.I can fumble over my words at times because Iām only thinking about being polite with my eye contact. I donāt think about it with people Iām close to though.
- I feel intense tension when interacting with people like my coworkers or school peers. I work with children and find it LEAGUES easier to interact with them. Interacting with acquaintances is absolute hell because Iām so AWARE of them and how I am being perceived by them. I have been described as reserved by my bosses and coworkers but I yearn to have an easy-going relationship with people but that feels so unattainable because I am pretty formal at work because itās āworkā to me. And at the same time I am so happy I donāt have relationships with these people because that would just be exhausting and more pressure!!
Anyway, I could go on and on about things Iām curious about myself. Let me know what you guys relate to.

2023.06.09 03:55 khoafraelich789 When is the best time to buy a car?
| https://preview.redd.it/m6th7lwefw4b1.png?width=912&format=png&auto=webp&s=0641f2f5b07f62db33ee96d53e2b5a576e5fd34e With steep inflation and record-high vehicle transaction prices ā up 3.8 percent since last year according to Kelley Blue Book ā understanding the best time to buy can mean money saved. While there is no perfect recipe for scoring a good deal, some times are better than others. The best time to buy a car is usually around the end of the year since salespeople will be trying to meet their quotas and may offer steep discounts. However, you should also consider holidays ā like Black Friday ā and the beginning of the week. Three of the best times to buy a car Timing is critical to buying a car. And certain months of the year and days of the week are better than others. - Mondays
Monday can be the best day of the week to buy a new car. Other potential shoppers are often at work, so representatives at car dealerships are focused on anyone who comes in the door. āCome Monday, everyone has made a lot of good sales and enjoyed the activity of a busy weekend,ā says Brian Moody, executive editor at Autotrader. āIf you call or email a dealer on a Monday, there is a chance that youāre going to get either a better deal or simply more attention. If the person has more time, they might throw in something extra such as free oil changes or free car washes.ā - End of the year, month and model year
In terms of the best time of the year, October, November and December are safe bets. Car dealerships have sales quotas, which typically break down into yearly, quarterly and monthly sales goals. All three goals begin to come together late in the year. āThe end of the month, the end of the quarter, the end of any period is usually a good time to go,ā Moody says. āThatās when there might be bonus opportunities for the salesperson or the dealer that give them extra incentive to want you to leave in a new car.ā In addition to the end of the calendar year, itās important to keep an eye on the end of the model year ā when the newest versions will start hitting the road. Moody says manufacturers generally begin releasing new cars in fall, but there are some exceptions. āIf you pay a little bit of attention to see when the press is starting to share reviews about new cars, it means the release is imminent,ā Moody says. If youāre considering buying an older model, itās wise to wait for the most updated version to roll out. āWhile you might be able to land a deal on the older model, itās wise to consider holding out for the updated version. Itās very rare that an all-new version of a model comes out, and itās $5,000 more,ā he says. āItās usually a few hundred dollars more, but it includes all kinds of new features and better gas mileage.ā - Holidays
Holiday sales can also offer deep discounts. Here are a few holidays that are especially great for buying a car: Presidents Day: The first few months of the year tend to be slow for all consumer activity, including auto sales, but some manufacturers work to spur spending over Presidents Day weekend. Memorial Day: Summer is typically among the most expensive times of year to buy a car, but dealers tend to cut prices back around Memorial Day. Next yearās models often trickle out around midyear, reducing the price of cars already on the lot. Beware of big crowds, though. As the weather improves, other buyers may be looking to score the start-of-summer deals. July Fourth: Plenty of dealers will work to entice car buyers around the celebration of Americaās independence. However, if you donāt need a car immediately, consider whether you can hold out for potentially bigger discounts available closer to the end of the year. Labor Day: The unofficial end of the summer is officially one of the busiest times for buying a new car. According to Zo Rahim, former economics and industry insights manager at Cox Automotive, the week of Labor Day accounts for more than 2 percent of all new car sales in an entire calendar year. Black Friday: Car dealerships join the Black Friday sales craze, just like the rest of the retail industry. In addition to manufacturer-offered incentives, you may be able to get better deals from your salesperson. āFor example, around Christmas, the person whoās helping you might want to get home to his or her family and be more eager to wrap up the sale,ā Moody says. New Yearās Eve: If you can swing it, New Yearās Eve may be one of the best days of the year to shop for a car. Salespeople could be facing monthly, quarterly or yearly quotas on New Yearās Eve, and if they meet their sales goals, they could earn a hefty bonus. This could make finding a favorable deal easier. How to get the best deal at the dealership Regardless of when you decide to buy a car, you will need more than perfect timing to get a good deal. Consider the following tips to get the best auto loan rate no matter the calendar timing. Know what you can afford. Calculate expected monthly payments to have a strong gauge of what you can afford. Analyzing your finances will help you know which rates you will qualify for. Get a few quotes. Itās wise to get a few quotes from direct auto finance lenders. This way you can gauge if the dealer is offering you a good deal. Research. Do some upfront research on vehicles and lenders. On top of this do your homework to help you avoid common car-buying mistakes and give you negotiating power when you arrive at the dealership. Improve credit. While interest rates are based on a few factors, your credit score serves as a larger determinant of your APR. Take the time to better your credit before applying for loans to get the most competitive rate. 2022 car buying market considerations Global parts shortages resulting from the coronavirus pandemic and supply chain issues have caused car prices to skyrocket. CBS reported that the shortage could continue through 2023. The J.D. Power predicts average transaction prices to reach $45,971 in the third quarter of 2022, which will be a 10.3 percent increase from the same time last year. A higher demand and a lower supply are contributing to this price increase. Unfortunately, these supply chain issues will likely thwart any discounts drivers may typically benefit from this holiday season. Thomas King, president of the data and analytics division at J.D Power, notes that āThe average incentive spend per vehicle is tracking toward $936, a decrease of 47.8 percent from a year ago.ā As dealers try to make back lost profits, prices will likely remain high. In October 2022, Kelley Blue Book found that shoppers in the non-luxury segment paid on average $690 above sticker price. These prices continue to climb for both new and used cars, according to Experian. If you are looking to buy a new or used car, this lean inventory and competitive market will likely mean that you will pay a higher base price and receive fewer discounts until the shortage is resolved. The bottom line Waiting for the best time to buy a car requires patience. If you can hold off on a purchase, time can be your ally. Although pricing isnāt currently in consumersā favor, keep an eye out for incentives and deals during upcoming holidays to maximize your savings. Narrowing your top car choices and picking the right time of year to buy a car ā or the right month or day ā can help you save thousands. 2023.06.09 03:55 Here_WolfyWolfyWolfy Refuse me a ride? Lose double fares
I am from India. We have multiple modes of public transport. But long with your regular Uber, taxi, buses, trains and others we also have rickshaws or auto rickshaw as we call them. Rickshaws are three wheeler taxi services. They are supposed to be cheaper than taxi but most of these guys are very probmatic to deal with. Here is how it goes, you flag them down, tell them your destination and they will simply refuse. Or will refuse to go by the meter and quote a high amount of money. Either way, it's a pain to deal with.
There is a rickshaw stand outside my house. Today I asked one of them if he would go to my destination, a place called Andheri. He agreed, i get inside the rick and he suddenly announced i won't go to the Andheri, i said why not, he replied " i don't want to go, I don't want to deal with traffic.
I got pissed off, i was in a hurry to get to work. Luckily there was another rickshaw right behind. I got in that one. Just then a couple came along asking for a ride to the mall. The first guy who refused me said yes to them. But before they could accept it, i said "Hey i am off to the same place, let's split the cost". The couple happily agreed. They got in with me. They their share which i handed off to the rickshaw driver and i paid the driver my full amount as well.
The second guy earned money from two fares for the cost of one and the first guy lost both. For a long time rickshaw drivers have been being complete jerks to us. I guess now they will see we can be petty too.

2023.06.09 03:52 logicallamprey Opportunity Costs and You
Hey all,
With the amazing
write-up by
iamthatis, I felt like it was important to give a run down on opportunity costs (as Reddit have said this is the main reason behind the increase of API pricing).
The quote that this post is based on was provided in the write-up as follows:
Me (iamthatis): "Because I assume the majority of it isn't server costs. I assume the majority is the opportunity cost per user."
Reddit: "Exactly."
To find out what the opportunity costs are, and why Reddit has decided to excessively increase the API costs, we need to understand some ways in which Reddit makes money.
So, how does Reddit make bank?
Let's have a look at some of the most prominent ways:
Advertising Revenue - When users interact with Reddit, they provide information for advertisers, such as clicks, impressions, and time spent on the site. This data is used to attract advertisers, who in turn pay Reddit to advertise their products.
Sponsored Content and Promotions - Reddit provides exposure and visibility for sponsored content, allowing businesses to reach their target audiences and generate revenue from sponsored partnerships.
Premium Memberships - Reddit Premium provides certain benefits at a cost to the user, one of the main ones being an ad-free experience.
Reddit Coins - Users can purchase these coins and use them to award or give virtual gifts to other users. Reddit earns revenue from the sale of these coins.
Data and Insights - When you interact with Reddit, you generate a load of data, including (but not limited to): user demographics, interests, and behavioral patterns. This data can then be aggregated, which allows Reddit to offer targeted advertising and market research services, allowing businesses to make a more informed choice about their advertising strategies.
In short, Reddit makes bank from you, this shouldn't be a surprise. However, most Third-Party Apps (henceforth TPAs) actually reduce how much money you generate for Reddit. This appears to be the main reason behind the drastic increase in prices, and why, originally,
devs were understanding enough to pay for API access - at least before the pricing was confirmed at a later date.
How do TPAs reduce how much money I generate for Reddit?
We'll break this one down into a few reasons. Primarily, how Reddit interacts with you and vice versa. Let's start off with the simplest, advertisements.
Most TPAs show ads as a way to support the developer, with an ad-free experience given by either a subscription basis or a one-off payment. Reddit does not get any profit from this, and it sets off a chain reaction that further limits how much money you generate for Reddit - such as Reddit's own ads not reaching you, and the loss of information about interactions with those ads.
Furthermore, any trackers that TPAs have will not provide data to Reddit. It's important to note that Reddit will still be able to gain various information about you from API calls, however, the information it gains will be limited compared to trackers and metrics reported by the official app.
As Reddit has no control over the design and how information is displayed to you in TPAs, they also lose money from product placement. Sponsored Content and Promotions, the advertising of Reddit Premium and Reddit Coins to name the obvious. Whilst these can be strategically placed in the official app to generate maximum engagement and sales, the same can't be said for TPAs.
Wrap up
This money and information that Reddit is losing out on are what is referred to as opportunity costs. Personally, I believe Reddits pricing of the API to offset this is utterly asinine. This post is only meant to highlight and provide more information, it doesn't fully cover everything about opportunity costs and how Reddit generates money from you. If you feel that any information above is wrong, please let me know.
TLDR: it's all your fault for being unique, having valuable data, and making Reddit feel left out of your wallets.
On a side note, I believe this whole saga should demonstrate how valuable your information is and how you should do your most to protect it. /privacy is a great place to start for those who might be concerned. submitted by

2023.06.09 03:52 third_najarian r/CFA will be joining the blackout on June 12th to protest Redditās changes to its API and 3rd Party Apps
What's going on?
A recent Reddit policy change threatens to kill many beloved third-party mobile apps, making a great many quality-of-life features not seen in the official mobile app
permanently inaccessible to users.
On May 31, 2023, Reddit announced they were raising the price to make calls to their API from being free to a level that will kill every third party app on Reddit, from
Apollo to
Reddit is Fun to
Narwhal to
BaconReader.
Even if you're not a mobile user and don't use any of those apps, this is a step toward killing other ways of customizing Reddit, such as Reddit Enhancement Suite or the use of the old.reddit.com desktop interface.
What can
you do?
- Complain. Message the mods of /reddit.com, who are the admins of the site: message reddit: submit a support request: comment in relevant threads on /reddit, such as this one, leave a negative review on their official iOS or Android app- and sign your username in support to this post.
- Spread the word. Rabble-rouse on related subreddits. Meme it up, make it spicy. Bitch about it to your cat. Suggest anyone you know who moderates a subreddit join us at our sister sub at /ModCoord - but please don't pester mods you don't know by simply spamming their modmail.
Ways to Prepare
We realize many of you are studying for exams and may have questions during the blackout.
Our Discord will remain open. Questions regarding exam logistics, scheduling, etc. can be directed to
CFAI.

2023.06.09 03:49 Leading_Resist_6141 Scammed by Car Dealer
Hello all, hoping someone can help. I bought a 2011 WRX almost two years ago with a clean CarFax report, supposedly zero accidents, very few owners. Took until today to realize that it has had severe frame damage since the day I bought it. Iād always thought something was off with the car as the front passenger side door and quarter panel looked to be a slightly different color than the rest of the car if you looked at it in full sunlight. Took the front bumper off today for the first time since buying the car to install some new fog lights and was greeted by a severely mangled frame. I happen to own a 2008 Impreza which is structurally identical and popped the bumper off that to compare, it wonāt let me post them on OP but Iāll link them in a comment or something. Iāve been quoted 4-5k between parts and labor to fix this and am wondering if thereās any legal recourse I could take to have the dealership be financially liable for the repairs as it was (from what I understand) illegal for them to have sold this car to me.
I should have sold the car back to them when they called me a few months ago asking if I wanted to trade it in because they had a customer looking for a WRX but unfortunately I had no clue about the damage at that point and had already dropped 6-7k in performance parts into it or Iād have done it.
I have zero accidents (on record or otherwise) in this car (or in my entire life) and with the kind of damage this is the entire front end of the car would currently be destroyed if it had happened since Iād bought it. Itās obvious someone knew about the damage to the frame as itās clearly been bashed outward toward the front of the car after being bashed inward. From the way it looks I suspect they tied a tow strap to the frame and then to a tree or something and floored the car in reverse to try and pull it out.
I did happen to run into the son of the guy who traded the car into the dealership before I bought it, if I could get into contact with him somehow and find out if his dad had wrecked and rebuilt without reporting before trading it to the dealer would that help my chances of getting the dealer to admit they sold me a car with severe frame damage and cover the repairs?

2023.06.09 03:49 future_faking [WI] Manager sent termination letter without approval from HR
Sorry for long post.
I work from home and returned from maternity leave on 4/28. I told them since I live in a very rural area I canāt find childcare. I asked for part time or flexible hours. My manager said she had no problem with that but would ask HR. Came back and said HR approved me to work with my baby for 30 days and at the end I will need to have childcare. She said HR is very against part time or flexible hrs. Then she had me meet with my other manager to come up with a schedule. The manager ended up having me working 7am-12pm and then 2pm-5pm with approval to change it up if I needed to, so Iāve just been working 7am-3/4pm depending on if I take a break.
30 days comes up at the end of May and I have my 1 on 1 meeting with my other manager to talk about my performance. My performance review went great. She said she has no worries about my territory and Iām meeting all my goals. Then I bring up the 30 days being up and that Iām worried Iām going to have to give notice since Iāve had no luck with finding childcare. She said let me talk to the other manager and see if we can get something approved with HR. They donāt want to lose me.
I ask to meet with both of them 2 days later to see if theyāve heard from HR yet. They said no but they will hear from them on Tuesday after the Memorial Day holiday. They said they really want to work something out because I perform good with my job and itās not like Iām not meeting my goals. I get an invite for a meeting from one of the managers on that Tuesday. I meet with her and she says it was a very hard decision but we are going to have to let you go due to not finding childcare and asked if Iād like my last day to be in 2 weeks. I said sure, so my last day is the 9th of June. I then received an email from her stating they are terminating my position due to no daycare and last day is June 9th. So life goes on.
Then comes my last week and yesterday an HR person asked to me with me. I figured it was going to be about mailing my laptop and monitors back and about when my insurance will end and stuff like that. I meet with her and she says she received notice that I resigned and would like to know why and how did I like working for my 2 managers. I said well no I was terminated due to not finding childcare and she was surprised. She said this wasnāt ran past her and they normally will make exceptions to schedules for situations like this. She was concerned about the email I was sent and she forwarded it to her director. Her director was very upset and they said they canāt fire me over something like this. She also asked if I could still work full time if I worked nights and I said yes. She said she would work get this sorted and try to help me.
They met with my manager. Then I get a rude email from my manager with the HR director ccād basically saying I havenāt been meeting any of my billing goals and I can only work 7am-330pm. I literally just had my performance review on the 23rd and no concerns were brought up to me. She also said someone else has been working my territory to help me meet my goals. I wasnāt aware of this. I only know of one person who has been helping here n there because this is our quiet time and she has no other work to do. I havenāt seen anyone working my stuff otherwise. She also said all billing must be processed by the end of the day on Fridays each week which is impossible. I even ran this past a senior whoās been here longer than anyone and she said no way that has never been a thing. This job has always been lenient with what shift you work. You can choose the shift you work when you start, so I was never told I had to work 7am-330pm. I was told I could even work 9am-5pm if I wanted. Before maternity leave I was working 730am-330pm because thatās what I chose. She also quoted our meetings completely incorrect. For example she said I asked to work with my baby for 30 days till I could find child care and that I asked to work 6am-230pm. Which never happened. I never wanted to work with my baby and I have no idea where those shift times came from.
I responded and brought up all the inconsistencies and asked why my performance with meeting my billing goals was never brought up to me. And why was I never told to process all billing by the end of the day on Fridays. This was never something Iāve been told. I also asked why was I told everything was good at my performance review. I said I feel like this is a fake excuse to fire me now. I got no response. Instead I got a teams invite to a meeting with both managers and the HR director at 8am tomorrow which is technically my last day.
Iām nervous and donāt know what to expect. I normally donāt stick up for myself but this is how I pay my bills and I just had a baby. Iām upset that she said it was HR who had the issue and kept stringing me along thinking I could keep my job only for her to be lying. She said she had no problem with it but she did and now sheās saying I wonāt be able to meet my deadlines working any other shift. One person is working with like 4 kids by her but hides it during our meetings but youād have to be an idiot not realize it and nothing has been done to her. We were also just notified that there are people clocking in and not working because theyāre not busy. My territory is too large to pull that off. Iām always busy.
How do I prepare for this meeting? Iām still planning for tomorrow to be my last day because I canāt work for someone who lies. This whole thing has given me an icky feeling. I thought we were all a good team and Iāve never had an issue with this manager. I think she got in trouble for the email and thinks I snitched but I didnāt. I was minding my own business and ready to be done tomorrow. I just want to know what to expect. What should and shouldnāt I say? Any help is appreciated.

2023.06.09 03:48 jeremybearimy22 Anyone else having this issue?
So all day today I havenāt been able to complete anything. Like i go into a dungeon and the final objective (kill so and so and collect key) will not spawn. I go to do a side quest (go to location and find bandit camp) and the objective wont trigger, even though i covered every square inch of the mission area multiple times. Like WTF blizzard, i was happy with the game a week ago, now i dont even want to play since i cant actually do anything except kill mobs. How do you break a game that was working fine on release? Idk, but i havent seen anything about this so i was just curious if anyone else was having this issue too.

2023.06.09 03:47 FirelordDerpy Interviews with young hunters
"I'm Zygo, I'm fifteen, and I think this will be a fun field trip!"
"EVIC News. Young Hunters, Reports by Ostrosim Vonsky" Bold text on the screen
"We're currently in the Capital city of Zygerria and we're witnessing a lot of movement, a call for volunteers has gone out and the results have been staggering," The Camera pans over a large crowd.
The Camera shifts to a young Zygerrian "I'm Zygo, I'm fifteen, and I think this will be a fun field trip!"
"Aren't you a little young for this?"
"Nah, Kittenscout leader Yaja said it would be a good opportunity to go on an actual wild hunt, I'm even getting to use my dad's energy bow!" Zygo replied with a smile. "The entire troop is going! Well except Largo because his parents are lame."
The Camera shifts again to the smiling king leading a pouting young Zygerrian girl up to a podium. "Zygerrians! It is a rare opportunity when the galaxy presents a people with such a golden opportunity, a chance to show the galaxy our true helpful, charitable, generous, nature, and the chance to have an absolutely incredible hunt and feast! Stend IV needs our help to hunt a very delicious and invasive creature that is breeding like crazy, they want it gone, and we shall feast on it! We have bland ration packs stored to last us months, I don't expect to break open a single one! Let's go hunt!"
The Camera shifts to the loading docks where multiple KVC Multi-Environmental-Outpost vehicles are being locked into place on transports, Vonsky's voiceover starts. "We can see they've loaded multiple of these vehicles, they fold out and can act as mobile outposts, hospitals, shelters, kitchens, etc, the hunt is scheduled to last for a few weeks, but word is that the king already has a second wave prepared. While official numbers haven't been released, a source has told me there's about five-hundred soldiers, eight hundred civilian volunteers, and two hundred Kittenscouts, apparently, they will all get a hunting merit badge after this. In addition, the King has basically brought several hundred tons of spices, seasonings, and cooking oil."
The Camera shifts to a Zygerrian in a beige uniform with a bandoleer of badges "Aren't you afraid your students could get hurt?"
"If they get hurt, they will learn to listen to their advisers on how not to get hurt. There are two ways to learn, by getting hurt yourself or learning from someone else who got hurt. They should learn quickly to follow the second path. Rest assured, they'll all come home in one piece. If they don't Their scout leader will have to become their parent's slave.... I mean" The Zygerrian holds up his hands in an air quote "will owe their parents a life debt, so we're well motivated to keep them safe."
The camera fades and the EVIC News logo takes up the screen.
